Infinite Canvas
The biggest pro of digital note taking is the boundaries of traditional one and paper that it breaks.
Studies have shown that learning efficiency and understanding of a subject is increased by higher order learning and mind mapping. For these techniques, an infinite canvas is needed.
It would be highly appreciated if this function would be added.
Thank you.

I’ve used Notability for the past couple of years and thought I would give GoodNotes 5 a try. I love the interface of GoodNotes but I spent well over an hour trying to to figure out if there is a way to create infinite pages like you can in Notabilty. I finally gave up and went back to using Notability. Allowing text to just fall off the page rather than create a new page within the same document is such a a basic feature, I can’t believe the development team overlooked this. I’m going back to Notability and hoping I can get a refund.

Could you guys pls add the ability to have a single infinite note. I am using apple notes and I have found it very annoying to have add a new page and if there is, any text it gets cut off. something small but very annoying.

Infinite canvas would be awesome. In my opinion this is one of the biggest advantages of digital note taking. You can arrange all your ideas in one document. This is where creativity has no regulations! Would appreciate this feature a lot!

If you don't mind me saying, this is more of a lack of coding creativity problem then a feasibility problem, I do software myself and I could easily think of several solutions, first and foremost it would be easiest to simply have a grid of pages (or files) that all look like one (continuous) page that are only superficial until the user writes inside of one of the grid sections then a file would be created for that grid space and if they draw outside that square then it would simply create more files on the spot. This certainly isn't the most optimal solution but it would be very easy to institute and given that over 1000 of your users have come to this page alone to request this, this seems simply unreasonable that this functionality haven't been added yet.

I really want this as well. It sucks to run out of horizontal space - especially when doing free-form note taking + diagrams, and you end up with pieces of diagrams/charts in different pages...

Im sorry but Im so happy that they dont have pages that are infinitely long. This would be extremely annoying and its the exact reason I dont use OneNote

I. I had the exact same problem. Having the ability to have an infinite page will be great.
2. Another great feature would be to be able to set reminders on you notes that alert you when the due date of an outcome has arrived. -

The way a page moves from left to right when I’m trying to scroll through pages quickly is frustrating. I wish that the page would be centered and still (like Notability), not moving left and right.

In response to the moderator's comment; This seems easy enough to do if you create a squared expansion to every demand to expand beyond the present page.
For instance, one would start with a single page, then go to 2x2 = 4 pages, and if you are presently required to assign 4 files (one to each page), then they could coded to appear to the user as a single page. This would continue on 3x3=9 pages for each expansion beyond the presently viewed limit.
This could even be done 1x1 If the user expands space on the right, add a page as if it were horizontally scrolled. IF the user expands space below, THEN add a page file below and set it as linked to the page above.

I agree with the infinite idea. Seems it could be incorporated even with single page file format. I need to be able to insert new content into the middle of an existing page and have the existing content automatically reorder and “create “ a new page if need be to accommodate the space needed for the newly inserted content without having to take the time to cut/paste existing content to a new page. I need the existing content to automatically scroll over to a newly automatically created new page.

You can just just paged one after another and without any space between them, so it will be seen as infinity sheet and also an option to draw right on the both pages continuously without breaking, so we can draw some graphs in the both page and if we see the both page and one after another it will be infinity sheet.

Infinite canvas with pages like OmniGraffle. You can draw on an infinite canvas and then print out pages in case you needed to put it up on a wall or put into a presentation.

Consider the app is used on a mobile device, to support a very long page is a user-friendly feature. It is not convenient to taking notes on a tiny page with Apple Pencil.

I also prefer individual pages over an infinite sheet and would prefer an option if it is implemented

Could still handle as individual pages but having an option to scroll down just viewing a dotted line(for example), showing where the next page begin.
Not forcing the user to see both pages individually. -

Just add an option to automatically create a new page when start writing on the current page, so combined with the vertical mode, it will be like an infinite scrolling... (I think that will work with the current framework)

I specifically use GoodNotes because it DOESNT do this. I would hate it if it had it forced, so preferably if you go this route, make it an option?

Please include this feature. True infinite sheets are a game changer for note taking.

Please implement infinite sheets, and if the problem is the management of each page as a file then use one and manage it as Excel does!
If you need to print it, then you just select how much you want to fit in one page. ie making squares
