Collaborate on shared notebooks with multiple users
Simulaneously share notebooks for use through the web with other users.
Talkboard is a free app by Citrix that allows for sharing of a white board with multiple users. The writing features are in general, the same as good notes.
If notebooks could support features to share with other users simultaneously, even select notebooks, then I would be able to use good notes as a collaboration tool on top of it being a note taking tool.
We’re happy to announce the release of our new update GoodNotes 5.5 including “Shared Documents”. You can now share a document with other GoodNotes users and work together on them. You can read everything about the first version of shared documents here: https://medium.goodnotes.com/link-sharing-share-documents-adb36f99c583
Details on how to use the new features and FAQ are available here: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001571256-Sharing-a-document-with-other-users-to-collaborate-on-it

Hello. It turned out that if my Wi-Fi is connected (but no internet access), then the URL cannot be generated. The thing is, there should have been some notification or message there instead of a moment of silence and the user would have no idea. I highly suggest Goodnotes to enhance this. Thank you
--------------------I tried to enable "link sharing", and waited for minutes, and nothing happened next. I pressed "done", came back, and the "link sharing" was disabled (of course).
The GIF in the medium is pretty short so I didn't know what happen next. You could have shown the process of link sharing after and didn't have to write a blog that long in my opinion. -

I would love to be able to share my planner with a coworker to stay more organized and keep who’s doing what task and what still needs done in live time.

I Came back to say that besides shareable notebooks, a pc version of the app would be amazing. I have an iPhone and iPad but being able to access and add to my notes on my pc laptop(which has a mouse and 3 monitors attached) would make this app PERFECT && I would totally be willing to repay if that was necessary

I would absolutely LOVE this feature and came on here to see if it was a possibility already. I’m a grad student and my cohort and I like to collaborate on notes and other helpful info. Being able to share would make it easier Bc we’d be able to write in one notebook and all see it vs having to later figure out how to transfer the info to an ms word file or google doc

I create planners on GoodNotes and have one for my daughter. It would be awesome to be able to see her planner on my iPad as well as on her iPhone. I could add things to her planner for school, chores, soccer practices, etc and have them show up on her document on her phone. Then she could mark off when she’s done them as well as add her own stuff to the schedule as she gets assignments from teachers or club meetings.

I’m working with another person on an event where we require a number of items to be sent to us by contributors. Each of us collects and checks the contributions then sends them on to a third person for finishing off. At present we are emailing backwards and forwards with a goodnote file that looks like a list of names with a grid next to them to tick off progress for different stages of the process. A shared file would be much easier.

I would like to be able to share folders with my spouse so we can, for example, have one repository for recipes we like and have annotated. We have to airdrop the files since we can't just share a folder im goodnotes.

As a homeschool teacher, I have just started using goodnotes to keep my lesson plans, attendance, and other school-related information. It would be VERY helpful to be able for my husband to see our lesson plans and make notations or entries instead of having to export to pdf each week for us to discuss student goals and progress. PLEASE add collaborative notebooks!

Please add this feature!
I'm a physics professor with an active lab. Detailed, accurate notebooks, with photos and hand-drawn diagrams, are absolutely crucial to experimental physics. Often several of us (at least a student and myself) are conducting an experiment over the course of months, and sharing a GoodNotes notebook would be a complete game-changer. Right now, we must use a paper notebook, and I regularly take photos of the pages for myself into my private GoodNotes, writing detailed notes-about-the-notes in GoodNotes, then exporting the notebook as a pdf and posting it on Box for us to both access. It is a mess.
Is this really a hard feature to implement? I can imagine major syncing issues with two or more authors simultaneously working on the same page, but hey google docs and Overleaf handle those issues. Yes, they are text-based rather than hand-drawn, but the collaborating authors will need to understand that they should cooperate a little bit. I think users will be understanding of limitations of simultaneous work on the same page.

This would be excellent to be able to collaborate on projects or just with an admin. Currently, I export PDFs *all* of the time. It ends up being very inefficient.

Hi there, Ithink my situation is pretty similar to those tho already replied, but I’d like to share my thoughts anyway.
1. Why do you want to collaborate on a GoodNotes document
Because both partners should see the document simultaneously without sending the document back and forth. We would like to create a document, collect information, develop an idea, ... together.2. In what situations do you need it
I.) at university, to collaborate with my co-workers and students, to share annotated PDFs, track progress
II.) to collaborate with my boyfriend who also uses GoodNotes. I love to organize my holidays and itineraries where I annotate destinations and travel times between them directly on a map.3. What you have to do instead since GoodNotes doesn’t support it.
For Uni, I send annotated PDFs via email to my students, resulting in files names like paper(3) and a messy email in box. For my itineraries, I use OneNote to share maps and travel plans which does not work very well on my iPad. I’d love to use GoodNotes for collaboration :) -

1. I am a researcher in mathematics, and when I discuss something with my (long-distance) collaborator we prefer writing our thoughts by hand on a tablet.
2. We would need this on daily basis: whenever we have something now to share and don't have time to have a video call yet, we send our writings to each other.
3. Since we can't collaborate on the same file we have to send each other pdfs, which are then impossible to edit. For example, it would be so much easier to copy a certain formula to reuse it, or modify a complicated picture. We can export and send goodnotes files, but we then have multiple copies and we are something out of sync (each of us has their own pages added to their own file)...
This feature would be a life saver! It could also help with video calls, we could be writing in parallel (zoom whiteboard is horrible), this would then really feel like chatting next to a blackboard.

I tutor students remotely and being able to share a notebook w a student would be outstanding bc they can work in the notebook live and I can HOW they are problem solving and give feedback.. additionally, it would make sharing/getting documents w/to my student so much easier..

I would love to be able to collaborate on Goodnotes. My partner and I both use Goodnotes during meetings to capture information about our customer visits. It would be awesome if those notes were shared on the same database file.

Hey Goodnotes,
I would loveeeeee this feature.
I would like to collaborate on good notes because I find it is the best digital writing and drawing app. It has far better features than other online collaborative whiteboards and I already use it for school.
I would use it for tutoring (since I already have my work)
Teachers could also mark more quickly.
I would enjoy it to be like google docs etc
Thankyou so much and I would love love loveeee this feature and I am sure SO MANY MORE PEOPLE WOULD PURCHASE GOODNOTES!

I currently have to use this thing called bitpaper and I really don't like it. It doesn't let you zoom in and the erase feature is very buggy (erases part of grid background etc.) Also does not let you scroll and the option for pages is far farrrr better on good notes (love how you can select pages and rearrange etc.

This would be great to share with myself between my personal devices and my work devices. I cannot link them through iCloud, but I am dying for Goodnotes to have a sharing system, so I can pick up where I left off between school and personal devices. I used Google Slides as a planner and note taker so that I could share between my devices. However, I really prefer Goodnotes and would love a collaborative sharing feature!

I've been using the online collaborative whiteboard service limnu, but the interface and writing experience are not nearly as nice as goodnote.
I am waiting for goodnote to introduce comparable collaboration capabilities!

This would be useful for all collaborative projects. I would use the app much more and be able to convince many people of downloading it for work projects, school projects, anything really. This really needs to happen 5/29/2020
