Collaborate on shared notebooks with multiple users
Simulaneously share notebooks for use through the web with other users.
Talkboard is a free app by Citrix that allows for sharing of a white board with multiple users. The writing features are in general, the same as good notes.
If notebooks could support features to share with other users simultaneously, even select notebooks, then I would be able to use good notes as a collaboration tool on top of it being a note taking tool.
We’re happy to announce the release of our new update GoodNotes 5.5 including “Shared Documents”. You can now share a document with other GoodNotes users and work together on them. You can read everything about the first version of shared documents here: https://medium.goodnotes.com/link-sharing-share-documents-adb36f99c583
Details on how to use the new features and FAQ are available here: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001571256-Sharing-a-document-with-other-users-to-collaborate-on-it

I am a middle school assistant principal and our whole team uses Goodnotes. It would be FANTASTIC if we could all see each others handwritten notes in the same notebook. One situation would be creating a shared planner. Another would be brainstorming new ideas together. Another is obtaining multiple digital signatures on the same document. Tons of uses! Now we need to export as a PDF and then make that pdf shareable in Google Drive. Thank you for considering.

Me and my friend are starting school in September and would love to get this app and share our notes together. It would be great if that feature was made for then. :)

EDUCATION and RESEARCH collaboration would be my *all the time* uses for this awesome feature.
Re: Education, there are already some excellent online whiteboard collaboration platforms out there. My favourite is Explain Everything (which has an iPad app, but others can join a collaboration by opening a browser window on a computer, though they get a less awesome experience obviously since they don’t have the lovely stylus experience). Other apps that deserve a mention here include Miro and Padlet. If you don’t know these, check them out first, then come back here and keep reading.
With social distancing, we’re teaching all of our classes remotely, but we often need to collaborate on the same documents. Sometimes visually, sometimes by editing or adding text, sometimes by placing post-it notes, etc. The key point here is that these tools (see above) are the bread and butter (or chalk and blackboard?) of online education. But those tools don’t have any of GoodNotes’ amazing functionality, and I’d switch to using GoodNotes for all of my online education immediately if my students could get GoodNotes and join a collaboration between several students, where every person sees the edits that others are making in real time (if they’re making edits on the same page).
Re: Research, I often co-author and co-edit articles with colleagues. Or sometimes they ask me to read a paper and offer feedback. The ability to allow another person to open up the same document as me (or, preferably, for many people to do this) and for all of us to be able to work on annotating the very same document would be just mind-blowingly amazing.
I’m happy to offer more info if you like, and I *SO HOPE* you will consider implementing this feature.

Something like google docs would be nice, for people to work on the same document at real time

I would like to use this collaboration feature with my co-teacher. This way we can both insert our lesson plans and can mark up/add notes to the same lesson planning document. We can do this with google docs but I love the features good notes has, just wish we could both edit the document like we can with google.

This would be an excellent feature- and post pandemic even more reason to have included.
1. Why: so I can remotely share a document to be drawn on by collaborators simultaneously .
2. What situations: I'm an architect and import multi page PDFs into GoodNotes daily. In face to face meetings we draw ideas on these- with builders, team members and clients.
3. Currently exporting to Keynote to do it, but clunky. Other apps and online options have shortfalls, plus I'd like to keep as much documentation in GoodNotes as possible. -

Currently, I am using GoodNotes for notetaking with ipad pro. And I really enjoyed its general design and integration with apple pencil. Currently, I find that most current Softwares cannot do well in both aspects together: 1. writing integration 2. online collaboration (Here, I am referring to Google Doc etc ...) I hope GoodNote would support real-time collaborative whiteboard feature, and excel in all services involved in writing integration.

I am in Real estate, and in our office we currently use paper to do very many mundane records for the sale progress. We have to use "slack" for communication in house, but it lacks the ability to quick jot notes as the progress for all the little things that a whiteboard is needed for.
SO we use like 10 huge whiteboards to keep track of all the little details involved with real eastate and construction. I have yet to find some elegant solution to all this. I love your software and can see it replacing the whiteboards entirely IF it was truly collaborative with a folder that could be shared across the company.
In it would reside a few boards, with the ability to add folders nested to keep documents/photos/change orders/revisions of handouts/flyers/web pages.

I'm using Goodnotes to transition my students from physical textbooks and worksheets to digital.
It would be good to have a collaborate tool so I can assign folders to students and they can do the digital worksheets inside the folder and I can mark it immediately.

I collaborate with my app developer by writing notes and then sharing the wireframes from GoodNotes. Right now it’s a one way process (though both of us have ipads. It would be immensely valuable if we can both edit the same file or sync the same document together

Hi GoodNotes,
I’d really love this feature in the app as well! So I’m pleased to also share some information.
Many of my student friends work with GoodNotes on iPad with apple pen and we share lecture’s notes, working together on Projects or brainstorming using the app. At the moment we have to export/ send all individual to each other via email or SharePoint and some of us has to sum all up to one document.
Also a comment feature on GoodNotes docs would be nice for comment others documents -

I want to be able to share my user interface ideas and designs for LambTracker app with the other people working on the project without resorting to export PDF, let them mark it up and return it. I'd like a GoodNotes notebook to be effectively a shared whiteboard where we can all put our ideas, edit and comment on other's ideas. In the end we can export the text into the specification documents.
Other shared whiteboard apps do not have the handwriting recognition GoodNotes does.
We need to do this asynchronously as we are all in different time zones. LambTracker is being developed by volunteers. When people have time to work on it varies. A shared notebook means as lead programmer/designer and major user I can post my most recent ideas when I have time and others can do the same. When a good idea surfaces I can prototype it and do some testing and then comment on what did or did not work when actually trying to use it in the field with the sheep. That then feeds back to the other developers and they can incorporate the lessons learned into their next ideas.

I have similar requirements as others who have commented here. I have to use Apple Notes instead to write notes and share folder or file via the "Add people" button and it's not satisfactory. But if done on GN just think about the multiplication of other "people" (colleagues, students, followers etc) that must get this app too. They are not represented in the votes here :-)

I have a co-teacher and we are trying to reduce our paper use. We have many lists keeping track of different things in the classroom (student work completion, edits on essays, etc.) that we currently have on clipboard around the room. We would love if we could use our iPads to keep track of these documents digitally. However currently the list or GoodNotes doc can only live on one iPad, which leaves us in the same situation, with an iPad left around the room versus a clipboard. Or we could constantly share the doc back and forth, but then we have to deal with revision contrary, trying to keep track of which version of the list is the newest. If we could share a doc between our two accounts, then one of us could edit the doc and then the other could automatically see the updates when they open it.

Hi there, this is one of the most important features for me!
1. Because my coworkers and me are working on documents (mostly protocols) together in GoodNotes 5.
2. I am working at a theatre, so during rehearsals one of us is taking notes and afterwards sharing them with the others... But since we do this every day there are a lot versions (at least 2 per document per day).
3. After every rehearsal, I export the file, send it to the others via AirDrop, they import it, take their notes, send it back to me, ...
It would be perfect, if you could work with others on the same document, but if you can also easily hide the notes from the others.
Also, there should be the possibility to have "roles", like in WordPress for instance – so that some team members can only read, some can comment, others can also write, some can add new team members, and so on.
