How in the world does a flip horizontal/vertical option not exist yet in this app? How many years and versions have gone by where something so simple is still overlooked? Tons of other silly tools have been added that I never use, but flipping images and/or selections is not allowed. Maybe I’m wrong, but an app that allows drawing, image insertion, and selections need some core functionality users have come to expect in pretty much every other app doing something similar. SMH.

When taking notes, I take better notes when I write in a mirrored way, right to left. However this often means my notes ar useless to my co-workers. I’ve had to change my note taking to use GoodNotes. A super edge case, lol. But important to me.

Here to say that a mirror or flip action would be great!

Looking for a simple flip. Eg I draw a left hand. I’d like to quickly copy and flip to create a right hand. Love Goodnotes. BUT this option is something that I often find myself looking for, wondering every time whether it’s there somewhere and I missed it.
Plus what David says below about the size changing etc - current interface creates friction rather than flow.

The image manipulation tools on goodnotes are so frustrating. I can't invert an image, I can't rotate something without accidentally changing its size, requiring me to drag it next to the original(if it's a copy) to make it as close as possible in size, then drag it all the way back to where I want it. I also can't scale without rotating. You could easily add different functions on separate corners of the box when adjusting it. One button would edit scale, the other rotation.

Also, currently the menu bar at the top is useless when selecting an image. clicking the menu simply tells me to click the image. That's basically an ever-present tutorial that is unnecessary. Use the menu for extra functionality. You could put invert there. You could put it anywhere.

Finally, I hate having to wait 0.5 seconds every time I want to edit an image. It gets frustrating really fast when I am reorganizing an entire page. Let me click the menu to open the edit options for the selected image immediately. I can lasso the image, and in one click on the menu I could access the menu and keep my flow.

Here I am in 2021, looking for the same thing someone is waiting for since 2014. This is unbelievable.

To allow us to flip an image or a shape around the centre.

This would be so helpful with classes that involve a lot of drawing, like organic chemistry, geometry, etc.

Second this motion. I’ve been needing a “flip” or “invert” image function for the longest time. That and dotted lines!!!
