"Favorites pens" as tools
Im using green thin and navy thick pen.
and need to change very quickly.
but everytime I have to select color and pen size.
that would be awesome configurable favorite pens on top of bar for one click select the pensize+color

They should look at Noteshelf 2. They have the perfect solution for this problem.
I really need quick access to my most used pens (size/color) and markers.
I love GoodNotes, but without that feature I have to stick with Noteshelf most of the time. -

It would be great! I study German and use three colors at a time for identifying words gender, changing the color constantly is inefficient.

the ignorance of Good Notes developers is the reason why I changed to Noteshelf.

Having to re-create the same pens that you use over and over and over is extremely unwieldy. There’s plenty of room in the top bars of both the normal and enlarged views for six or more favorite pen/pencil styles. And by “styles” I mean being able to have each of the six be different in all parameters. I use the three available colors in the enlarged view constantly, but the fact that they all have to be the same width is limiting. Please, please, PLEASE!!

I would like this to go a step further and create some kind of gesture that would allow me to cycle through preset tools so I don't need to move my pencil to the top bar of the page to swap out a color or switch to an eraser. It really breaks my flow to have to stop, select a tool from the top of the page, then try to find where I'm writing.
I think the Apple Pencil 2's "double tap" gives the GN team a great excuse to work out how to switch quickly between tools.
For Pencil 1 users, I could imagine a gesture where you tap the pencil on the screen twice, but hold it on the second tap. A ring of options (user-selected) appears around the pencil and with a radial flick in a particular direction (like drawing the hand of a clock), the user selects a different tool.

Also might like to have the option of making this tray a "floating" item that stays visible on the screen at all times & could be dragged to any convenient location with a finger.

This would be very useful

Oh yes, this would be great. Much easier than having to constantly change thickness, etc.

This would be SO helpful. OneNote has it. Why doesn't goodnotes??

This is a standard for many applications. I wonder why GoodNotes does not have it.

This would be INCREDIBLY useful and allow for me to be much more efficient and save so much time. Please allow this. Microsoft OneNote has recently added this functionality and it would be great if GoodNotes could do the same.

If there could be a tray where I can add 4-5 various colors of pens and highlighter mimicking a real physical object that I can just pickup and write. For example, I could add a red colored pen with fine thickness, a black colored pen with bold thickness, yellow highlighter pen with certain thickness and automatic straight line.
In that way I can jump between each tools and options without having to turn on/off auto-straight-line function or adjust the thickness every time I change a writing tool.
You can let this function to be optional that users can toggle on/off in settings if you are afraid that it will complicate the app too much.

I think it could be very simple.
I uploaded a simple example on my website:
http://officehilfe.ch/pens.pngJust have not only one but several pens. Each of them can be customized in color and size. That's it. It would improve my workflow extremly.
Thanks a lot!

This is a great idea because I need to change pen color very quickly when I am taking note. Clicking two times to change pen color really makes me frustrating. Please add at least one more color on the toolbar.

Could this feature be set to be gesture controlled as well? So lets say I save 5 Presets (which I can't do now) if i could figure tap 1,2,3,4,5 times to activate my favorites or some kind of gesture anyway.

Would be great to have a favorite choice of different pens like "Noteshelf" has.

I use the highlighter in shape recognition mode. Each time I switch highlighter to pen, I must also deactivate shape recognition mode. That makes work incredibly inefficient with goodnotes. So yes, please add favorite pens, and allow us to select the shape mode for each pen.
