I would like this to go a step further and create some kind of gesture that would allow me to cycle through preset tools so I don't need to move my pencil to the top bar of the page to swap out a color or switch to an eraser. It really breaks my flow to have to stop, select a tool from the top of the page, then try to find where I'm writing.
I think the Apple Pencil 2's "double tap" gives the GN team a great excuse to work out how to switch quickly between tools.
For Pencil 1 users, I could imagine a gesture where you tap the pencil on the screen twice, but hold it on the second tap. A ring of options (user-selected) appears around the pencil and with a radial flick in a particular direction (like drawing the hand of a clock), the user selects a different tool.
