Thumbnail view- shows all pages marked or highlighted
In the thumbnail view, in addition to displaying all pages, favourites and outlines (as at present), it would be really useful to have a further option of being able to view pages where notes, marks or highlights have been inserted- using the pen or highlighter. This is really useful when reviewing a long document, and being able to get to significant parts of it because they have been marked up.

Possibility to make notes on the side
When opening any document, especially with PDFs but also with my own notes, it would be great to have the possibility to have a separate page on the side to take notes on WITHOUT activating Split View, so all important notes are directly next to the page. Like in the picture but with more space for notes. In the settings you could choose which kind of paper you want to write on and which side the notes should appear on.

Bullet point sub-categories, tables, rulers and compasses, and just overall better support for actual note taking
I don’t understand how a ‘note-taking app’ doesn’t offer the ability to take good notes (ha ha). It in your name!
Firstly, bullet points and sub points can be super important for taking notes, especially using the outline method. These features are not hard and due to the lack of them, I have to type notes in Word, just to transfer them to goodnotes to write and highlight and it wastes SO much time.
Secondly, tables are such a good way of condensing and understanding information and I truly do not understand why you wouldn’t be able to create them.…

Fix a bug between goodnotes and stage manager on external display.
When I connect my ipad to an external display using stage manager, a bug appears. In this situation I have firstly the goodnotes application open and displayed on my ipad and secondly any document or application open and displayed on the external screen. So when I open a new goodnotes document on my ipad or change document via the taskbar, this automatically zooms in on the external screen, placing the application or home screen out of frame on the external screen. Cannot zoom down!
It can only zoom up but cannot zoom down which is very inconvenient when browsing!
Every update is about AI but do users really need it?
Please improve the basic function!
Almost every website and similar software have unlimited zoom up and zoom down!

Save to original document
I usually work on PDF files and using highlight tool to highlight important parts or take notes with pen tool. I can do this with GoodNotes. What I can not do save my work (highlights, notes or other stuff) to my original imported document. I have to export if I want but I think is not a good way, Some other apps can do this, when you work on a document it asks you to reflect work to original document and reflects if you approve.

Meeting Outlines (Personal Templates)
Hi! I would LOVE to create my own outlines which I can drop onto a page & create a standard way to write up meetings / to-do / projects etc. Here is how I see the idea:
• I create a standard meeting outline (for example area's for Attendees, Agenda, Action Items etc).
• I tap on an icon and add the outline to an existing page.
• The outline is "locked" by default. So I can erase writing without changing the outline. Another way to think about this - layers in Photoshop.1 vote -
Folder color when importing or moving
Goodnotes could be even better if we can see the customized folder color (and icon) when importing or moving the document.

Folder sort by date
Please make folder sort by its contain modified date, when sort by date only note is sorted the folder is not. The folder still use the created date for sorting.

Ich würde gerne die Lernsets auch anders herum lernen: Antwort wird angezeigt und man muss die Frage nennen. Dies wäre für Vokabeln sehr hilfreich, damit man in beide Richtungen übersetzen kann
