Ability to work on notebooks Offline
It would be good if the app allowed working on notebooks even without an internet connection.

This is critical and is the only thing keeping me from buying it now. I was just gonna suck up the lack of other features and get it, but can't cause it doesn't work offline. The internet in my school is bad like it is at many schools. I've already lost work because the internet went out. I simply can't trust this until this feature is implemented.

If you cant access your Notes Offline and Work on them its pretty useless.
Make it like the IOS Version - Like you have Promiced on your big announcement for the Windows Version.
The Pricing is a Joke too .... -

It must work offline. Only online is a NO GO.

The full version is still a web app. Demanding money for this is a joke

The app only makes sense as an offline app, online it would be useless to most students!

I agree, or at the very least be similar to OneNote where it will save offline before it will sync and save once it has an internet connection.

especially for students that would be very helpful, because a lot of schools don't have WIFI and even use signal Blockers for students mobile phones, which makes it quite difficult to work online there

Probably the most important feature imo.
As many people here have said, there is little point in a note-taking app that doesn't work offline. The whole point is to be an upgrade over paper based notes, easier organisation, searchable text and so on.
Currently using the android beta as a trial only; whether or not this particular feature is incorporated will directly impact my decision to buy.

it will be a big help and efficient if we could at least open notes offline. Because it is not all the time that we have access to WiFi or a good signal to be able to open the file.

It is very frustraiting that an app to takes notes and in particularly goodnotes app that is one of the most good app to take notes isn't working offline ... Come on ? It lags all the time while writing , what type of experience is that ??

My initial thoughts are that with goodnotes only being available online it is almost useless for me. I am an instructor who has to do notetaking on the move alot and am not connected to the internet alot.

I can't open the documentary without Wi-Fi, so please let me open the documentary even when there is no Wi-Fi.

We need an Offline Version, Particularly I want to say that I am very disappointed that the app currently only works online (I hope this is due to the fact that is currently in Beta, I hope that final version will (must) have a Offline version otherwise it would be unpleasant for users).
The App is online only and this reflects negatively on many factors: it is not certain that many users have an internet connection available in order to use the app (for example students (to whom this app is mainly aimed) they need of use a note taking app in any kind of situation with and without connection in order to be reliable), moreover, the writing experience (despite a fast internet connection) is laggy and does not in any way guarantee the true experience of Goodnotes for iPad.
I fear that all this could be reflected in negative feedback from users similar to what happened with Microsoft Whiteboard which since it became online only has received many criticisms as well as requests to add an offline version again. The difference is that, however, as regards Goodnotes, it is precisely the experience in writing, and the features (eg: voice recording with notes) and the use even offline, that make it chosen by users compared to other numerous apps already available such as OneNotes, Inkodo, Journals .... -

I'm wondering if it is completely online just for beta, so it's easier to gather information from the testers? That way they can see if there is a major flaw in the program that goes across all testers right away.

I had my first experience with the app on my Surface today. To be honest, I had some expectations cause I use the app on iPad.
But it is underwhelming. I was in an environment where there was no WLAN and wanted to add a page. It was not possible.
What is the sense of a note keeping tool, when you cannot write notes?
I did not try to add pdf or other files yet, cause I am frustrated with this experience. Will there be the possibility to use it in an offline environment in future?

Currently GoodNotes for Windows Beta requires an internet connection to work. Especially for students it's hard to always be connected to a network and therefore use GoodNotes. Also, there's a input delay when writing on my Surface 7, Windows 11, using the Microsoft Pen.
