A long way to go
I really like Goodnotes on my iPad mini, so I downloaded it for windows because I wanted to type some notes out and figured I could do it faster on my PC. I know the Windows version is new, but good lord why is it so different from IOS? I have very little features compared to IOS just when looking at text box formatting alone. My note libraries are completely separate between the two apps which seems like an odd choice. Also why is it a webapp? It should be a locally run application, I don't want to have to run something via a browser. There's also just weird odds and ends like how I have to scroll with my mouse wheel to make the zoom and scroll bar appear, and then they disappear very quickly after. The formatting for text boxes seems non-existent, and I don't even mean styling, I mean I can't tab paragraphs or even add bullets.
I understand an app for IOS is going to feel very different on a desktop, but this isn't that. The Windows Goodnotes app feels half-baked in comparison and I think it has a long way to go. I personally love Goodnotes and will continue to use their software, but I hope they put more work into the Windows app soon because it's a bit of a frustrating experience in its current state.
