  1. Shape Tool

    A shape tool should be added just like the one in the iPad. (When you hold at the end of the stroke it crates the shape)

    GoodNotes for Windows and Android just got even better! We're thrilled to introduce a brand new dedicated shape tool in the toolbar that will make drawing shapes a breeze. As you draw GoodNotes will convert your drawn line into a shape automatically!


    We're gradually rolling out the update.  Refresh your GoodNotes for Windows app or restart your Goodnotes for Android app to today.

  2. Combine Notebooks

    The ability to move pages between notebooks would be great, especially because the beta is limited in how many notebooks one can have. It would also be nice to be able to select and copy/paste notes from one notebook into another.

  4. Allow to change colour format

    Allow to change the colour of what we have written to a diffrent colour. Like the one in samsung notes

  6. Custom templates

    The ability to create custom page templates to use in the notebooks. Also, need to be able to change templates to accommodate what we want with out changing ones we already have in notebooks.

    Kindly go to Setting -> Manage Notebook templates -> Edit at the top right corner to add your custom covers and notebook templates.

  7. Customization with the lasso tool

    It would be great if things such as pen thickness/type, colour etc, could be changed when you circle handwriting with the lasso tool, like you can with OneNote

  8. Moving pages horizontally

    Please this is important for digital planner, it's inconvenient to have only the vertical scrolling of the pages :/

  10. Make hyperlinks work on the desktop (Microsoft) version.

  11. Ability to change colors for handwritten texts or pen patterns

    when selected with lasso tool, we should also be able to edit the draw color along with just cut , copy, paste and resize.

    Please add this feature. That would put good notes in one of the top apps for note taking.

  13. Ability to scale and rotate lasso selection

    being able to shrink, enlarge, or stretch the elements in lasso select would be so helpful.

    Thank you for your feedback! Our lasso tool already supports the ability to rotate or resize the selection. After lassoing a selection you can tap again on the lasso selection to see the options to resize, rotate or delete.

    import your own paper templates so that you can create paper size, spacing of lines, size of margins, etc. on your own

  15. Drag and drop compatibility

    On samsung devices you can add files(primarily images here) via drag and drop, like on windows, I wish it worked here as well.

  18. Ability to drag and drop from Google/Gallery images into pages

    In samsung devices this is already a feature in Samsung Notes, adding it to the app will greatly help me in my note taking.

  20. reselect pencil after erasing

    After erasing with the button on the Lenovo active pen 2 the eraser stays selected, even after you let go the erasing button. It should switch back to the pen

    We have now introduced Auto-Deselect feature in the eraser.

    Once you erase your strokes, you'd be switched back to the previous tool.


    We have also released Scribble to Erase feature, using which you would be able to erase your strokes even more efficiently.
