    [Layers is in progress 🚧]

    Hello,

We’re thrilled to say that we hear you—one of our most-requested features, Layers, is on its way!

Layers is gradually rolling out to Goodnotes Pro users on iPad and Mac. This early version supports up to 5 layers in notebooks. Please note that it isn’t available during a Pro trial.

Layers is currently experimental, so your feedback is especially important. Please share your experience to help us understand how—and whether—we should develop the feature further.

I strongly believe that incorporating this feature into GoodNotes would be a significant enhancement. While this functionality is readily available in various other note-taking apps, its absence in GoodNotes is quite noticeable. Adding it would not only elevate the app’s capabilities but also make it an even more formidable choice in its category.
