Hello! We’re excited to let you know that we’ve updated the Text tool and introduced a new dedicated floating menu for text boxes, including more customization options.
One of the new tools is Pin Text Tool — when enabled, it keeps the Text tool active so you can create multiple text boxes continuously without having to reselect it each time.
This is especially helpful when you're focused on adding or adjusting text in your notes. The pin will automatically turn off once you switch to another tool.
Feel free to try it out and let us know how it works for you!
This improvement is available in the latest Apple update.

I’m really not a fan of the new toolbar. I would love to have the option to keep all tools listed at the top instead of having that floating toolbar appear every time I switch between tools (for example, from the lasso to the pen).
Honestly, this new floating toolbar is EXTREMELY distracting. It gets in the way of my view and adds unnecessary clicks to remove it each time. The previous layout, with all tools visible and customizable at the top, was far more efficient and user-friendly.
I have to admit, the new design frustrates me so much that I’ve lost motivation to keep using the app. I truly hope this issue can be addressed soon. It’s urgent. In case someone feels the same about the toolbar and knows a good alternative app. Feel free to comment it.
