For me, this issue is fairly recent… maybe the last couple/few months? I use my iPad to take notes for school, but I used to take the notes more frequently via a Bluetooth keyboard, and I hadn’t noticed that problem. Lately I’ve been using a Pencil and the screen keyboard a bit more, and while it’s not been a consistent issue, every once in a while a word will get decapitalized for no apparent reason. (I just tried writing something both in a text box & on the lines, and this de-capitalization thing didn’t happen, so idk what causes it.) Quite an annoying issue though.
Note: I think it does underline the word in blue after doing so, and I can change it back by tapping it & then the “undo” arrow that appears.
