my actual library size is around 6 GB, yet the app consumes over 27 GB on-device. This clearly points to serious issues with cache invalidation, temporary file persistence, and orphaned data retention. Instead of performing routine garbage collection and data compaction, Goodnotes appears to endlessly accumulate redundant assets such as thumbnails, partial syncs, and stale caches. This is a textbook case of storage leakage, which happens when an app fails to properly manage its local data lifecycle. For a product marketed as a professional-grade productivity tool, this level of inefficiency is unacceptable. Users should not have to delete and reinstall the app just to reclaim wasted storage space. Goodnotes needs to implement proper cache eviction policies, file system hygiene, and background storage optimization. Until then, it remains less a note-taking tool and more a storage black hole. https://www.ez-passpa.com
