UPVOTE!!! yes i strongly agree. I am a graduate student doing research and frequently use goodnotes to mark up documents that I am using in my background and discussion sections. I am using a zotero browser extension to save documents and pdfs, but it would be great if goodnotes could also have an extension that would save into the app directly. I am similarly having to save documents into my one drive and then opening them in goodnotes.
Even better would be if there was a way for goodnotes to work in collaboration with citation managers so I don't own two copies of all my pdfs - a marked up version on goodnotes, and then one in zotero. Or if goodnotes could expand into the territory of citation management.
Lastly, Goodnotes would be so much better if the mac OS version allowed for more shortcuts that are standard to using Mac OS like Command+F, or having a side bar for scrolling so that you can click into the approximate place you would like to get to - rather than slowly scrolling through the whole document (particularly painful when you have BOOKS as pdfs). would also be helpful if there was a hand tool like in preview so you could move the document to where you want it to center on when zoomed in. Right now having the goodnotes app on ipad and on macOS is not particularly helpful - because the macOS version is definitely not optimized to use on MacOS. It feels a bit unfair to have paid for something that doesn't work that well.
