lasso tool to copy and paste PDF text, images, graphs, etc
This option to have lasso tool to be able to copy, paste, and move existing text, images, graphs, any visuals that are important would be simply amazing.

I am not familiar with this feature. If you have ever used it please share your experience. I want to use it for my website page https://wordparadox.com/dragonborn-name-generator/.

I can’t believe this isn’t implemented yet, I might swap to notability only because of this, why can’t I copy part of an image into my note? Sometimes I want to copy an equation from my lecture slides to my solution note, why can’t I just simply lasso around it and copy then paste?

This function is so highly important! We need to copymtext from an existing pdf! Speaking as a master data science student. Thanks

I have both goodnote and notability. Bought both on the first day I got ipad.
I've been using only goodnote since I much prefered the way it writes, but I'm switching to notability solely on this reason. Too bad... -

***** tool should allow copying the text, image, anything in the pdf file, it would be much easier instead of the screenshot mode and save to images and then open images and import it to a new document, it’s too much to do.

Yes, please add this feature. Exporting the lasso'd text to an email and then pasting over existing text is time consuming.

similar request, I'd love to be able to grab part of a pdf or pptx slide and drop it onto my notebook. I would then take my notes onto the inserted figure during the meeting.
I am able to do something similar by importing pdf as a background which is a full page version of what I am suggesting.

Please add this feature. I want to move or copy a selected area somewhere else. The remaing background, when cutting an area, should be white or transparent. A lot of students are writing their lecture notes on tablets. To edit their shared PDF this feature would be a big PLUS. Making screenshots with the lasso function is nice, but not a real solution. This feature was first requested in 2013!!

I would like to be able to adjust the boundary selected with Lasso tool. For selecting large parts of a page with many tight spots it is pretty difficult at the moment.

one CAN copy text (not with lasso) by holding down and dragging the perimeter, but i find that it doesn't do so for images

One aspect of this that I would love to see would be to be able to use the lasso tool to highlight blocks of text in the pdf and the have options to copy the text so I can add it to a notes page or to able to export that text to something like OneNote as a snippet.
I think this is a pretty big missing, advanced feature.

Lasso tool could be better to edit images and resize and rotate(like Noteshelf app)
