Undo highlighting later
Sometimes you want to highlight for a purpose (follow up, to do etc.). Once you are done, you might want to undo the highlight. Would be great if a highlight is a layer that can be removed layer instead of becoming flattened onto the page.
The eraser in GoodNotes 5 can be set to “erase highlighter only”. Tap and hold on the eraser icon in the toolbar to access these settings. Don’t forget disabling it again afterward.

I hope to have another option that is erasing highlight if there is highlight in the area drawn by the eraser, but erasing the rest if there isn't any highlight, just like notability does.

Dear ADMIN: Doesn‘t work for me. I cannot find these settings. GoodNotes 5.1.5. I could not find any way to undo highlighting. So sad.

The erase whole line option sometimes erases part of the writing underneath. An eraser setting that only targets highlighting would be amazing.

I would like to see the ability to have layers so that, for example, all highlighting could be hidden or visible. Or, maybe comments or tags, or other data could be selectively visible or invisible.

You can do this already by selecting the eraser-settings and toggling on "erase whole line". Simply touch the highlight and it gets deleted :)

Completely agree with this. I have been combing through your support page looking for how to do is!
