Grid that can be toggled on and off
It would be useful to have a grid or lines that float above the paper, but are not saved with a PDF. As it is now I use the graph paper template to write on. It helps keep my writing straight and makes it easier to draw lines and boxes. But I’d rather that my audience not see the grid. A better solution for me would be to use the plain paper template but with a grid I can turn on and off as needed. The grid appears on the iPad but is not visible on the AirPlay output.

It could be an extension to the shape-tool, like being able to choose the colour; or add the ruler that apple uses in its own notes app plus a grid system.

Fantastic idea! This would make goodnotes the ultimate goto for professional print work!

Agreed - and the most important thing when straightening lines is that the start and end points need to snap to where I draw them, instead of being moved by the straightening algorithm.

Oh, and not just the corners, the lines should also lock onto the grid.

It would be really helpful for engineers and engineers to be if the ends of the lines would "lock" onto the corners of each square on squared paper.
That would make it a lot easier and faster to draw vectors, circuits, functions...
But only as an option that can be turned on or off easily like the lasso tool for selecting images or handwriting..., otherwise it would get very annoying.
