Proper Dark Mode - Not simply dark paper
The ability to toggle on and off dark mode and have the paper and ink colors change accordingly.
Selecting dark paper and white ink looks great but is NOT 'dark mode'. When you go to print something created way you either waste a LOT of ink or you have to manually switch paper and ink color on each page.
For reference - Onenote does dark mode perfectly.

Hello,
It's essential to have a true dark mode that toggles paper and ink colors seamlessly. Selecting dark paper with white ink isn't practical for printing and can lead to excessive ink usage. Onenote’s implementation of dark mode is a great example to follow. A genuine dark mode would save ink and streamline the user experience. https://www-redhumana.comBest Regards,

inverting colors in settings on an ipad works, but is not ideal
goodnotes is cross-platform
i often read synced notes on my mac at night so that I can oftentimes ask Claude about some math equations
inverting colors on mac is not very practical
for this reason alone, it would be worth having a true native dark mode feature on goodnotes

A way to do it is to invert colours.
If you go to the options in settings, you can invert colours and have everything that is white changed to black. The problem is that every other colour gets changed to the one opposite on the colour-spectrum (eg: red becomes light blue). The goodnotes developers should find a way to invert the colour only inside of the app: this would be a cheap way of getting a "completely" dark mode.

Please!
Switching the page in to dark is the *only* thing preventing me from switching back from Notability now that GoodNotes has full page typing.
It will be perfect if this full and proper dark mode is implemented.

+1
Notes app has this
OneNote has this
Craft has this
But where I want it is in GoodNotes! -

I cannot believe it is not here yet. As a workaround, I also have notability and imported a screenshot of their template. Here is how it would look in Good Notes. Much better for eye sight and battery life

PEASE!! This is the main dealbreaker between OneNote and Goodnotes for me. As a college student, my eyes get strained easily. OneNotes changes the canvas to black and the “ink” or text to white, allowing for less eye strain. Unfortunately, while GoodNotes does incorporate dark mode into the main menu, the lack of incorporation into the pages defeats the point. If they made a template that is compatible with dark mode, I’d be using GoodNotes instead of OneNote.
Edit: Apple notes also has this feature, making GoodNotes the unfortunate odd one out
Sure, dark paper is an option. But what about in daytime, when everything else converts back to light mode? I am left with a dark canvas and an inability to print the documents I want properly.
Please please consider making this addition, and I guarantee it will make GoodNotes a much more popular note taking app compared to its competitors

Lack of this feature is making goodnotes less usable. Don't force me to choose Apple Notes over Goodnotes

Apple Notes also have this option now. You can turn the dark mode on and off and it also smartly inverts the pen colour.
In Goodnotes, if you write in white pen and changes to white paper, you can't see a thing.:(

Yes!!! It’s so bothersome to change everything manually...

I agree with this. I like the way OneNote does it. You can invert the screen from white to dark vice versa by a single button.

If it's not possible to do this, then perhaps create the ability to change paper and ink color on multiple pages at one time.
