Infinite Canvas
The biggest pro of digital note taking is the boundaries of traditional one and paper that it breaks.
Studies have shown that learning efficiency and understanding of a subject is increased by higher order learning and mind mapping. For these techniques, an infinite canvas is needed.
It would be highly appreciated if this function would be added.
Thank you.

I end up using Microsoft OneNote more, even thought my handwriting looks better in GoodNotes. I like to draw diagrams and be messy generally. Also, I have an iPad mini and infinite canvas is helpful. I'd still allow people to chose to have a page limit in case they want to print

Hello, I really would like to have this feature too.. GoodNotes has by far the best drawing/writing experience in comparison to the other tools I tried, the only thing that is missing is zoom + infinite canvas. I am a developer, and I am using canvas tools for drawing in workshops and meetings. I really need to have more place on one page and the possibility of zooming out/in and drawing in the zoomed areas. Without this I am forced to use OneNote, which has a buggy drawing/shaping/writing experience.

The ability to make a page within a document extend infinitely beyond the normal page size limits. For note pages in documents that the intention is to only use it on the computer to allow information pages or pictures that are long without separating it into multiple pages.

1. pls add INFINITE canvas template for mind map creators
2. Allow upload pdf in INFINITE canvas template, and able to modify individual / selected / whole pdf pages (rotate, reduce size, move it to everywhere)

This thing could save our time. If they provide this thing I will surely buy it to store the data of my website https://cloptoncapital.com/.

The gaps between pages can still be removed and support for drawing between two pages is not impossible, please make this happen

Yeah, I’d love to have the option of continuous scroll or pages. Kind of shocked this hasn’t been sorted out yet.

I understand why the current framework requires separate pages. However, it seems like it would be easy to eliminate (or minimize) the displayed gaps between pages, which would give essentially the same functionality as infinite paper.

Just bought it and it surprised me that an infinite canvas was not available.
The rest of the app works correctly but I'm not sure I would have bought it if I knew I was restricted to only use portrait/landscape modes :(From the comments I guess this will never happen?

Super lame workaround! I think you can still do continuous typing at the least on a page without inserting a text box each page. It would really be great to ditch Notability altogether because the handwriting feature of Good Notes is superior to Notability. Maybe a continuous typing tool can be added alongside pen tool, erase tool, etc. This typing tool can recognize the lines on the paper and automatically align the text along them, or if the paper style is dotted, set a default line spacing and make margins automatic on the page.
MAKE THIS HAPPEN! 🙏🏻

Another user who loves Goodnotes would like to tell you how much we would love to have an infinite canvas. Please Goodnotes team, make it happen! Thank you!
Also, would like to emphasize, that the first comment for this request was from 2016...... yet I am still here leaving a comment to voice my opinion.

That would really be a damn good feature, sometimes the templates just aren't enough and another sheet interrupts the flow of ideas.

This is such a lame excuse for not implementing this. If your designers can’t find a way to elegantly add this feature, please consider hiring new ones. Here are a few suggestions to help you:
1. Create a new object that isn’t a notebook or a page and is an infinite page. You can even call it a canvas.
2. Or make it so that a notebook can hold pages of multiple sizes, one being infinite. If the book analogy stops working, just call it a folder.
If you can’t lake the pages infinite for performance reasons, then at least enable larger page sizes.
Now why is infinite canvas important ? When you’re thinking about something, you want all your thinking to be connected and visible, not broken down into pages. Otherwise your thoughts are broken down as well. -

I don’t want to do “this instead” I want to have the choice between infinite or individual pages. Please.

Okay, so under your framework, can we add "pages" to all direction to mimic infinite page?

In true sense having infinite paper is the hallmark of digital notebook.
We people don't ask for any luxury or complicated feature, many free application serve it , so it's not impossible to do ; what is stopping you after so many suggestion/request ? -

Why bring the limitations of paper to another medium that does not share these constraints? Here is a simple use case: I’d be brainstorming a topic, then run out of space. It would be nice to just be able to continue around, instead of another page which breaks the continuity of thought (having the rest of your thinking in front of your eyes really helps).

They gotta fix their framework then because its pathetic that I can't drag an item from one page to another.
