Hey, from one frustrated user to another:
I don't know if you're still using goodnotes, but, since they're ignoring every suggestion that has to do with snapping, I'd say you give Notability a try, as they have snapping to grid (and yes its more expenny but for me it was worth it).
I think it's ridiculous having to spend so much time zooming in and out trying to get lines to align in Goodnotes and they don't even stay straight when you resize them... so i just switched
