Hot Links and Hyperlinks
The ability to link externally (ie to a URL, or to a pdf in my files) or internally (ie within GoodNotes) would make GN a lot more viable as a working tool.
I've just started a degree so have years of study ahead of me. Finding the right tool at the outset is vital, so that my notes will be consistent in terms of file type, cross-file compatibility etc. - with study notes I NEED to be able to link to research sources / related GN notes etc.
This is a reasonable expectation in 2021. The lack of this functionality…

Keyboard Shortcut for New Page
Sometimes I have a page filled with text notes and I need to make a new page but trying to swipe over just moves the text box to the left and I have to reposition it back and then tap the New Page button at the top of the screen. I see Cmd+N has no current shortcut and I think it would make a nice addition and make creating a new page that much easier.

add extra writing areas for notes at the side of the page
Like onenote and liquidtext to be able to do notes outside of the pages and able to draw and write from inside the page to outside of the page

Import multiple images in one note
It would be really helpful if I can add multiple images to one note. Curretly if I select multiple images in the photo app and import them in GoodNotes they open all in different notes. That‘s frustrating, because right now I need to manually import each image individually in GoodNotes to get them in one note.

Precise eraser & coloring tool for faster coloring
I would be happy if the precise eraser could be adjusted again. But it is at least as important to create a “color bucket tool”, so that surfaces can be colored faster. TY!

Resizing selection tool
I think when circling objects to move them is amazing, but I wish we could resize it, such as making the object bigger or smaller

select default font type and size
I have imported my own font to use, however, I am unable to use it as fast and efficiently as I wish because every time I create a new text box it goes to the standard font style and size

Element lasso
Change the lasso tool so that it separates images and elements.
So it would have:
'Handwriting'
'Images'
'Elements'
'Text boxes'
in the options for what you can select.
Because when im trying to move a small element on a large image, it moves them both which is not what i want to do.4 votes -
Create own PDF outlines and embed sections
I'd really like a way to set up Outlines for our notebooks so that each section has its own subsection. The subsection would be linked altogether (e.g., Chapter 1 is one, Chapter 2 is another, etc.)
That way, we could more easily drag and drop to reorder things in our notebook instead of having to tediously do each slide one-by-one!

Sorting of tabs at the top by least-recently-used or alphabetically
When I have a note open, I would like to see the tabs at the top in alphabetical order, and sometimes in least-recently-used order.
Right now, I never understand how they are sorted, but, in any case, they are not sorted in a useful way.

Sepia, green and dark mode backgrounds.
Kindle and Pdf Expert both have sepia modes for reading pdf/texts. These make a big difference in terms of eye comfort. I'm avoiding using GoodNotes because it lacks this feature.

Bring the Precision Eraser from the Mac app to the iOS/iPadOS app
I think that needs to be an essential part of the app, the current eraser eliminates more than its surface area, which makes it extremely annoying.

compatibility with drawing tablet for Mac
The performance of writing in GoodNotes 5 for Mac with a third-party drawing tablet/graphic tablet is terrible. I use a Wacom Intuos Pro S with bluetooth function and there is no chance to write properly as it stutters all the time.
GoodNotes is no use for students/teachers if you can't work with a pen tablet and that's why I hope it will be updated soon.
Until this happens, I have to use Microsoft OneNote, although I prefer the surface and workflow of GoodNotes.4 votes -
Automatic table of contents with date
Allow me to select text, eg my page heading like (meeting to discuss projected financial) and then click on a button which shoots the page heading to an automatically generated table of contents in the front of the Notebook. Table of contents will be built using all the specified headings, and should also display date of that entry for easy reference. This would be a great help to business people. A next step that can be contemplated is to have GoodNotes access my calendar and paste a link to the entry in the notes of my meeting planner, so that…

无论是ipad还是mac，使用触控板双指上下滑动页面时，无法停顿（打断滑动），其他app在页面滑动过程中若再次将双指放到触控板上，滑动便会被打断。goodnote无法做到这点，这导致需要大量翻页时十分难受。

Dublicate selection by select, hold, drag and let go. Like copy and paste but quicker.

Top-bottom horizontal split view in portrait mode
Apple did not introduce a horizontal split view in portrait mode in iPadOS 15 and will probably not care to do so in the coming years.
Introduce a top-bottom horizontal split view in portrait mode, so that you can show a full-width part of a text book / lecture / exercise sheet at the top and your notes on the bottom on the 12.9 inch iPad.
Right now you need to switch between tabs. Every. Single. Time.
This is an essential feature for every student and a must-have for GoodNotes!4 votes
