Selection Tool Copying for PDFs (like Notability)
Please simplify the current "select -> screenshot -> share -> copy" function of the selection tool to simplify copy and paste parts of PDFs. Notability has this and it's MILES better than GoodNotes implementation which takes forever to copy a section of a PDF when I'm copying problems from my lecture slides to my notes.
This will make my, and so many students, note-taking so much easier.

Real-time synchronization
It would be nice to be able to use multiple devices at the same time on the same GoodNotes page. I study medicine and it would help me a lot.

Lasso tool desktop app
I think the lasso tool doesn't work properly on desktop and isn't natural to use.
To select text is it fine, but if you want to move a shape or text you have to clic on it to select and then move it. There should be a way for it to recognize the object and move on the first clic. Also, on mac you are able to duplicate something by pressing option and dragging it somewhere else. Text options should allow us to put indexes and exponants, this would be great for math formulas and we need more options for…1 vote -
pressure sensitive eraser
Add a pressure-sensitive eraser, which allows the user to adjust the pressure level. Feeling different pressures determines whether the eraser function is activated.

[Toolbar] Consolidate duplicate tools in split screen
When the screen is split, the UI feels very intrusive. In particular, the recording icon appears on both screens and is quite large. The same goes for the Undo button. I think unused tools should be consolidated into one place, and the freed-up space could be used for tools that are actually needed. This idea aligns with your philosophy of being “all in one.”

[Sharing] Enable direct upload or sharing to ChatGPT and email
Allow Notebooks from Goodnotes to be uploaded/shared (to Chatgpt/email/etc) directly from Goodnotes without needing to export it first, as it takes up double the space on the computer; plus it exports as a zip file when its more than 1 notebook, making bulk sharing/uploading very tedious

Font dropdown window
Currently, choosing a font is time-consuming, not efficient. There are so many steps to choose the font I need. The recent update made it worse.
Now, a tiny window pops up with the default chosen (never the one I need). I then select "Custom Fonts" and a larger window pops up. I go find say, Bodoni. Change my font. But I find I don't like that font. I have to highlight the word or words, the small window pops up again, I choose Custom Fonts again, then have to find another font from the beginning. I'd like it to default…

Favourites for fonts and line spacing
I would appreciate it if, similar to colours and font weights, it were possible to create "favourites" for fonts and line spacing, although the issue with line spacing not automatically being saved as I had specified should be resolved first.

Ich fände es gut, wenn man ähnlich wie bei Farben und Schriftdicken auch bei Schriftarten und Zeilenabständen „Favoriten“ anlegen könnte, wobei bei Zeilenabständen vorher der Fehler, dass diese bei mir nicht automatisch so sind, wie ich sie gespeichert habe behoben werden sollte.

Rescalable Templates
It would be great if GoodNotes allowed users to rescale existing paper templates. For example, when using an A4 template with a squared pattern, users could adjust the grid size (e.g., 4 mm, 5 mm, 1 cm, etc.) without changing the overall paper format. This flexibility would make it easier to customize templates for different needs—such as technical notes, sketches, or graphing—while maintaining a consistent page size and layout.

Text Doc export
Add an option to easily export a text doc AS A TEXT DOC and not as a PDF.
Also fix the size and format of all textDoc settings so it wouldnt look so bad as a PDF1 vote -
Improve highlighter
Make possible to draw a straight line but with different slants: when I take a picture of a text, sometimes the text is not perfectly straight, it’s abi tilted and it’s impossible to highlight it with the straight feature cause the highlight won’t correspond to the tilted text.

Improve text document beta
I’m currently using Goodnotes for handwritten notes and pages for typing ones. I’d love to do that all in Goodnotes. I think an improvement of the text document is well needed. For example, give the choice to visualise as one full page or divided in a4 pages, give more options tu personalise texts fonts, font size. All the features used in other apps.

Improve Text and Keyboard Features
I find writing with a keyboard more difficult since the last update. You have removed the keyboard function in the toolbar, and now I have to tap and hold to start writing in a regular notebook. This is useless.
Text documents are not a terrible thing, but you should add the possibility to highlight or write with a pen on them. Personally, I chose GoodNotes because it allowed me to both write with a keyboard and with a pen on the same file.

Lasso tool
please take away the automatic tool bar that pops up after encircling. every time I want to rearrange my notes, it pops up and BLOCKS the FOV that I'm moving it to.

Make the elements collection tool bar bigger
After element button is selected, the collection bar at bottom should be able to be made bigger when opened, the images are so small it's hard to see them even on a 12" iPad

Frecce
Ci vorrebbe la possibilità di disegnare frecce perfette soltanto restando un secondo in più con l’Apple Pencil sul foglio. Sarebbe una bella comodità.
