Align paper freely
Hey there,
I am using Good Notes 5 since about one week.
I'm left handed and I'm asking myself if it's possible to freely align the paper.
I would like to put it more to the right side of my iPad in order to write better. Is it possible to freely put the paper wherever you want? At the moment it sticks to the middle of the iPad.

Preset, hand drawn images
It would be nice to have a hand-drawn image/symbol gallery. For example, writing out your own formulas/diagrams and being able to save them at the top of the page in the tool bar (just like how there's a photo option that comes from your camera roll).
Having your own drawn images/formulas etc, would be a lot quicker for the user instead of re-writing out or copying/pasting each time when you need to use a specific shape/image/formula etc.

Use select tool when using the Zoom window
I would like to be able to use the select tool when writing with the Zoom window without having to exit this mode.
I use this app every day and it would be quite helpful if you are able to add this feature :)

Edit PDF Outlines
Its already great that Outlines in pdf are shown in GoodNotes, but you still cant change their order, rename them, or add anything. Making this possible would probably have to include a function to order the outlines newly created in GoodNotes, and a feature to create suboutlines, and edit them.

handwriting to text--as you write
Handwriting to text--as you write. I love GoodNotes. Total fan. It makes ADD me an organized guy. No easy feat. I like how easy it is to edit a notebook's thumbnails. I love the variety of line width--and the instant undo, which I need so often. But, but, but: Last night my wife showed me Jamboard on her iPad Pro--and I couldn't believe how cool it was that her handwriting got turned into text--as she wrote! So I tried this in GoodNotes. Yes . . . . you DO convert handwriting to text--in 13 easy steps. GoodNotes validates my purchase…

Locking items (drawings and handwriting) from accidental erasing/modifying.
I have some notes which I use like a form. I want to protect or look some objects from being edited by someone else, with keeping other fields accessible by other users.
My other question is that If I draw a table and I need to re-write into it. Eraser will usually erase the lines of the table around it. Is there any way around it?P.s. currently doing it by converting notes into pdfs or duplicating pages before using it

Open Data Format for GoodNotes
I’ve just had a bad experience with NotesPlus in which the app has had a series of really bad software problems.
In looking for replacements, I am extremely worried about vendor lock in where the editable version of my data is locked away inside a black box.
My notes are just that, my notes, and reflect many hours of my life’s work.
Fortunately NotesPlus uses an open data format - a directory structure which includes document names and a tree of sub folders that hold each page of handwritten text as an SVG scalable vector graphics file which I can…

Mac App: Select Text without need to deselect last selected Text
How about that?!
There seems to be a bug you didn't fix with your last update for the Mac.
When we select a text in a page, we have to click somewhere else to deselect it ON THE SAME PAGE IT WAS SELECTED and only then we can select Text in another page.
Sorry for the Caps, it's for emphasis on the problem.Assuming most are working with lecture slides, pages are not really pages but short slides with some text on them.

Ability to rotate paper
I love using the Apple Pencil. One nitpick: if we could rotate pages with 2 fingers in any direction it would be great. I tend to write at an angle with page turned slightly clockwise. Having the page be perfectly vertical or horizontal is uncomfortable after a lot of writing. Another app that does this well is Procreate.

Paper
It’s not very practicable to write at the end of a page because there is no more space for the hand to lay. The bottom of the page is always set at the bottom of the screen.
Please let it move upper. It could be also usefull to have the option to rotate freelythe paper.
Thanks

Recent tab to browse on recently opened documents
GN5 has three tabs to find documents: Documents, Search and Favorite. It would be very convenient to add a new tab to open recently used documents.

Show currently open tab
When you are in the file explorer, there is no way of opening the tabs currently open other than finding one file currently open and opening it or opening a random file and closing the new tab.

Hand writing template
I want my hand writing to look the same. For that, I’d like to create templates for each letter. Since GN has hand-writing recognition, it can then use these templates to replace my real-time hand writing with it, resulting a consistent hand-writing.

Please add full screen presentation mode.
Not only during these times of remote meetings, having the possibility to use Goodnotes on the iPad directly is greatly needed.

Note alignment
I have a recommendation of note alignment in horizontal.
The problem is all my hard writhing note there are wasting space on the right (attachment 1). It is caused by my palm is reach to the edge of the iPad. If I fill that space up I need to hand my palm in the air or rest my palm on the table. The process isn’t smooth. Even my small hand in 11” iPad.
If that possible to user align the note to a side (depends on left-hander/right-hander) free up the other side for palm (attachment 2) instead of now always…12 votes -
Toggle to invert gray scale and background color
I’d like to have a functionality similar to OneNote where I can invert notebook background color and my gray scale stroke colors. I like to write notes in dark mode on a dark background, so it doesn’t hurt my eyes. But when viewing or exporting, I’d like it to have a white background and black strokes.

Possibility to hide the navigation and tab bar while in writing mode.
Every little space on the screen is important on 9 inch screens.
