Two reasons I still prefer Noteshelf over GoodNotes.

1. The menu bar area in Noteshelf takes on the default Mac colour scheme whereas GoodNotes has this dark blue top bar area for note windows. It's a little think but it's a slight niggle.

2. While I make my notes on my iPad, I like to see my notes on my Mac and mostly have 2 notes open all the time on an additional monitor; one is my todo list and one is my planner. If I did this with Goodnotes, any time I close the app or restart my computer and then reopen Goodnotes, I am back at the root of my notes folders and it does not open any note as it was and never restores windows as I had them; Noteself does. NS remembers which notes were open and how the windows were laid out on the screen, including which screen I had them on. This is a massive timesaver because I simply open NS and bang; both the notes I refer to frequently are open and side by side.

Until GN is this good, it can't be my goto note writing app.

I'm considering buying an iPad Pro and I love the idea of using a Pencil to take notes. My problem is that my handwriting is awful and my printing isn't much better. Back in the day I owned a Palm PDA. The quick way to enter notes into the PDA was by the use of gestures. A portion of the bottom screen was dedicated to entering gestures using a stylus. Yes, you had to memorize gestures but, this was not to hard as every letter and number was close to the way letters and numbers are usually hand written with a swipe across for a space between words. Gestures showed upped as typed text in whatever app you were using. Once you got the hang of it gestures proved as fast if not faster then typing. I know GN's has a magnify feature however, for those of us with really bad penmanship skills why not offer something similar. Our "gestures" can be transmitted as typed or written text. This opens up the app to a lot of people who are hesitant because of how their writing looks. Please, help us non-artistic types to make our notes looks as good as those with such skills with ease.

On Goodnotes Macbook, I believe that when I want to delete markings in an area, I would use the select function, and circle the area which selects the markings I want to edit and by pressing "delete" on my keyboard. But somehow that doesn't work with goodnotes, and apparently I could only switch to the eraser function. (Somehow the "delete function after double-tap is also greyed out, along with all the other functions including making screenshot, changing colour etc, not sure if its a glitch specifically regarding the macbook version of goodnotes, or is it something im simply not doing right)
Thank you good notes for constantly improving your services, good notes is somehow a huge part of my life now haha

bug: at the position where the outline is added, the cursor cannot be moved left and right with the keyboard only, this should be a mac version bug

Suggestions: 1. The mind mapping function is really needed. The way to make and import using other software is very silly, and the pictures will float on the lines of the notebook, which is unacceptable!
2. The outline needs to be arranged by itself. It is recommended to cancel the automatic arrangement or add related setting options. Want to refer to the way of the paper, 1 can have a subordinate directory a, but the automatic arrangement will disrupt such a process.

Hello dear GoodNotes team, I have been using your app for a long time and am thrilled. I would still have 2 change requests that would make my work easier. 1. Fixed zoom level when writing, so that you always have the same writing feeling or typeface. At the moment the typeface is constantly changing, because you can write at different zoom levels. 2. Always offer the last storage location when importing and also always offer importing as a new document (do not insert it because you happen to have a document open) (possibly adjustable). These two points would considerably simplify the workflow.
