quicker copying of pictures
When I have my lecture slides open and I create a snapshot from a picture, I always have to - share - copy to clipboard - paste. This is complicated and feels unnatural. Nice would be a simple copy and paste.

Circles not to be erased by “Erase Entire Stroke” eraser in the middle of the circle.
After we got “Draw and Hold” mode for pencils to draw perfect shapes, putting an eraser with “Erase Entire Stroke” in the middle of the circle makes the circle be erased. This is quite uncomfortable when I have to edit inside the circle. I wish the circle would be erased only when the eraser touches the boundary.

various ideas about tools
customization of the tools in the toolbar.
-To be able to place the tools in the order you want
- Within the tools as a marker, you can choose the intensity of the color (brightness)Be able to create annotation routines, for example that the program detects or you introduce some patterns so that when you select a certain color or marker it already acquires a certain thickness or (better option ->) recognition of certain symbols so that it automatically changes to a tool (previously defined) and to save us having to change manually (((for example I write a "-"…

Close last tab
When the option to open documents in a new tab is on, when closing the second to last tab, the option to click x and close the last remaining tab is removed and you can only click the arrow to go back to the document library. When you then open a new document, the tab from the previous work session is also there. You should be able to close the last remaining tab. So that when you open a new document it is the only open document.

PowerPoint Notes/Comments Tab
When converting a powerpoint to GoodNotes, it would be great if the comments and notes that were attached in the PowerPoint were able to be transferred as well. Since the conversion to online, my professors just post the slides with notes attached to certain slides to elaborate more on the topics. These comments and notes aren’t transferred but it would be nice to get these ported over to GoodNotes.

highlighter size
I suggest to let smaller size for the highlighter! I use it for coloring on my Bullet Journal and it will be so much useful if it can be made smaller or bigger, the same as the pen size for little details. The 1 size is too big for some details.

Kanji paper as draft (for Chinese and Japanese characters)
Implement Kanji paper as draft.
For learning and writing Japanese / Chinese Characters (Kanji), a specific paper is used (see attached img). Implementing this paper style in GoodNote drafts would be great!4 votes -
Horizontal/Vertical add page
If you do your pages vertically, imagine if you could add notes on a horizontally added page. This would be significantly helpful for PDFs which take up the entire page for each page so you can create summaries, pointers or organize what is in the particular page.
On a separate note, it would be a nice addition to have this horizontal page be floating and following you as you scroll so you can continue to update this one page to potentially summarize the entire document in that one page (this could be an alternative option to adding a single fixed…

Border Color
Add more theme colors for the borders. When you open up a notebook, the top color is only blue with no option to change it, it would be nice if we could change the color of that to makes things looks a little bit nicer.

Coloring tool to change colors of existing notes
Apart from allowing users to lasso select a free range of notes and switching their colors, a shortcut could be added to facilitate this process. The coloring tool should be should be similar to a highlighter, but it only changes the color of existing brushstrokes it touches to a selected colour, instead of drawing new brushstrokes itself.

Text as default
Being able to type should be default on this app, like notability. It takes up way too much time to choose where to insert a text box, select it again in order to change something in said text box, and move things around. I love everything about this app except the lack of this feature, but its such a crucial feature that I’ve switched over to notability.

Make certain documents one orientation without changing the orientation of the entire documernts
If you change the orientation of a document to either vertical or horizontal scrolling it will make it a default setting affecting other documents. I like viewing some files in vertical mode while having my planner be horizontal. This makes me rely on other notetaking apps instead of just one. Please consider making a default setting for the orientation of the documents and also make distinct settings for documents. This will help in me just rely on one app!

Basic photo editing when inserting pictures
When I take a photo of something to insert into my notes, the lighting may not always be great. I’d like to edit a photo within the app to adjust lighting among other things to make the picture clearer.
I know I can take the photo myself and then edit in my photos app, but it’d be a lot easier to snap a photo in GoodNotes and edit it there instead of editing on my phone and then taking the extra step to insert into my notes. It’s simply a matter of convenience.

Convert image to text
Sometimes typing or writing out things from other documents or textbooks takes too long. I’d like to just snap a picture of text and have it converted into text that I can edit as necessary.

Formatting similar to google docs And word
Let’s face it, google docs is one of the best note taking apps out there but it lacks all the handwritten features GoodNotes has. I’d like to see more text formatting options so that if I did want to type out an essay, I could stay on my GoodNotes app instead of moving over towards google docs or word.
There are too many formatting options on google docs and word but I’m sure everyone is familiar with their formatting options

Convert handwriting to text automatically without having to export or copy to clipboard
Many apps automatically change your hand written notes into text but with this app, you must convert it, and then copy it to your clipboard. Afterwards, you have to lasso your hand written text and then delete it and paste the typed text into the document. Way too time consuming. Why not just select what we want converted and then automatically convert it to text?

Changing the color and thickness of lines your draw and other drawings
Say you’re drawing a graph and decide later you want to change the color of the lines for better distinction. I’d like to select that one line with the drawing tool and be given the option to change its color and thickness. Although this can be done using the lasso tool, I found that using lasso makes it difficult to isolate one line when it’s intertwined with other lines on the graph. It’d be much easier to make edits with the drawing tool. If you use notability, you’ll know what I’m talking about
