We're excited to introduce support for circle and oval shape recognition with draw and hold. Now you can draw a circle or oval shape freehand and GoodNotes will automatically convert it into a perfectly shaped object.

To use this feature, simply enable draw and hold in your advanced pen settings. Then, draw your circle or oval shape and hold your pen in place for a moment. Voila! Your shape will be recognized and turned into a perfect circle or oval.

We're gradually rolling out the update. Refresh your GoodNotes for Windows app or restart your Goodnotes for Android app to update.

    • allow us to import/export PDFs while being able to edit them
    • make it possible to add new blank/checkered pages to PDFs
    • and many more

Drawboard PDF is currently committing stupid mistakes with their recent updates. Capitalize on those quick and your app will become the #1 in the Windows market.

Users can create a new notebook by importing a PDF, or they can import a PDF into an existing notebook. Additionally, they can also export the notebook as a PDF file.

    Hi,

Thank you for your ongoing support and feedback.

We are excited to announce that we have now added support for hyperlinks in PDF files and digital planners.

    Best Regards,

    The Goodnotes Team

  4. When using GoodNotes for a planner function, a feature allowing us to jump from one page to another without having to scroll through every page would be ideal. Also along the same lines, the ability to set bookmarks on documents so we can easily jump to those pages.

  5. I'm having a little issue with constantly having to undo because the slightest touch creates pen marks or drawings. It would be nice to have the touch sensitivity feature that iOS does because I currently use a Microsoft surface pen to draw and not my finger or another similar stylus. I know you can use 2 fingers to move the screen, but in the iOS version, it isn't necessary. I would love to see this update included!

Happy to announce that we've introduce a new toggle under advanced pen options to connect or disconnect stylus. This will ignore finger touch as drawing input when connected to stylus. Give it a try and let us know if it solves the issue that you faced.

Thank you for your feedback and keep em coming. We are actively monitoring this forum to know what to work on next.

  6. The ability to create custom page templates to use in the notebooks. Also, need to be able to change templates to accommodate what we want with out changing ones we already have in notebooks.

Thank you for sharing your suggestion & feedback.

Custom Template feature is live and available to all Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web users.

Kindly go to Setting -> Manage Notebook templates -> Edit at the top right corner to add your custom covers and notebook templates.

  7. It would be great if we can copy and paste the selected elements by lasso select. Also, there is something I didn't like about the lasso select which is that every time I enable it by the stylus button it stays on and if you want to change it you will have to select the pen or something else manually, and I think it should be off automatically like OneNote and other apps.

  9. A shape tool should be added just like the one in the iPad. (When you hold at the end of the stroke it crates the shape)

    🎉 NEW FEATURE ALERT! 🎉

GoodNotes for Windows and Android just got even better! We're thrilled to introduce a brand new dedicated shape tool in the toolbar that will make drawing shapes a breeze. As you draw GoodNotes will convert your drawn line into a shape automatically!

We're gradually rolling out the update.  Refresh your GoodNotes for Windows app or restart your Goodnotes for Android app to today.

  10. If this function is not provided, I will not be a potential user of GoodNotes.

Thank you for your feedback! You can already do this in our Windows app. Click on the three dot menu (•••) under each page to see an option to clear the page content.

  18. The lasso tool allows you to move whatever you've circled. But I think that there could be a bit more use for the lasso, in my Journal Application that I use I'm able to Lasso tool and change them. Aside from moving the circled parts, I can also rotate and adjust the size of the words. If I zoom in or out the words would change sizes too. I think that this will help people write words and adjust them how ever they want to better fit the paper versus constantly rewriting words and hoping it will fit right.
