In response to Anonymous: true, when using the ipad with an external screen the animations are gone. But if you want to use goodnotes to record a video of a lecture/presentation on the ipad then you are stuck. It seems you cannot turn the animations off without connecting an external screen.
It would be much more convenient if the animations could be turned off so that I one could record videos on the ipad directly.
Also, it cannot be that hard to implement this feature, I reckon.
