An error occurred while saving the comment Art Geigel commentedI have several notebooks ranging from work-related to personal. It would be great to set defaults for tools per notebook (if a user wants) that would apply the moment a user switched to or opened that notebook. Here’s a real-world example: for work I want my eraser to erase the whole stroke, auto-revert to previous tool, allow scribble to erase, and lasso with pencil. But my other notebook where I do drawings I want eraser to be precise and none of the scribble shortcuts to erase or lasso things. Each notebook is engaged with in a different way and the tool settings should be configurable to suit those approaches. I’m always switching back and forth and it’s frustrating. Maybe an idea or “tool profiles” where I could designate a given notebook as “notes” and another “drawing” that I could apply to whatever notebooks I want?

An error occurred while saving the comment Art Geigel commented100% agree with everyone here. Tons of notes (individual pages _and_ entire notebooks) that are worth saving but don’t have any immediate need to be accessed or viewed. Right now I’m doing an “Archived” folder but having an integrated solution within notebooks (for archiving pages within a notebook) and an archived category for notebooks and pages would be so beneficial.

An error occurred while saving the comment Art Geigel commentedI also am a fan of the floating quick tool bar that can appear quickly with a series of taps near where the last pencil mark was.

An error occurred while saving the comment Art Geigel commentedSometimes I write something down I need to access quickly later or refer to later in my notes many times. For example a contact's name and phone number. Or an address for a store. Our dimensions of something. Or an equation I always use.
I would love to lasso a chunk of content and create a “category” tag for that content. The category tags I can edit for what makes sense to me.
Then later in the document I could use a new reference tool in the tool bar that adds to my notes a “see x” icon of some sort where “x” would be a link to the tagged content I chose. Tapping would bring up that content overlaid visually for quick review. Or tap again to take me to the original source.
Right now I’m either adding to an outline or going back to the original content, copying, and pasting again a million times.
And NO! The sticker feature is not a solution for this.

How in the world does a flip horizontal/vertical option not exist yet in this app? How many years and versions have gone by where something so simple is still overlooked? Tons of other silly tools have been added that I never use, but flipping images and/or selections is not allowed. Maybe I’m wrong, but an app that allows drawing, image insertion, and selections need some core functionality users have come to expect in pretty much every other app doing something similar. SMH.
