We’re investigating the battery drain that happens for some users already.
An error occurred while saving the comment Jason W- commentedI lost 10% of my battery in less than an hour with it just idling on the the app. Love the app! Ideally just make it not use the CPU (or minimal outside of cloud sync and such) when it’s not being interacted with.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jason W- commentedHow is this not voted higher? Immediately I ran into this limitation. Highlighter, tap tap pencil, and it’s eraser… ok… tap tap. Back to highlighter.. .but I need a pen. I need to be able to rapidly transition between the tools I use most often.
We need to be able to specify the tools that the pencil tap cycles through. Even adding additional ones. I’d like to tap to cycle between pen, eraser, and highlighter… but in come cases maybe I want eraser, pen, pencil, highlighter… being able to control that would be a MASSIVE efficiency gain.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jason W- commentedFurther, coming from Remarkable, I VERY much like the infinite paper concept where you just keep adding to it. You’re not having to work within the artificial confines of a pice of paper, this thing is digital, why restrict yourself? Now I can see on export how it might be problematic, but I’m sure if needed it could be designed to break up the content to fit on sheets if required for export to a PDF.

THERE IS NOW A WINDOWS APP
Everyone coming across this idea, they have it now, both a Windows and an HTML web interface (intended for Chromebooks, but works in browsers)
The syncing is relatively quick (3-8 seconds or so), and a lot (but not all) of the functionality is there. A lot of improvement is needed to bring the alternate interfaces up to match the iPad experience, but it’s out and it’s functional!
