As a vet student who handles all classroom notes and studying materials through goodnotes, it becomes very difficult to organize all my documents and notebooks in an efficient way since there is so much over lap between subjects, body systems, year of school, etc. Being able to add hashtags to fine-tune organization and document searches would be a game changer. Being able to search for things like cardiovascular material, search by species, or by the week of the semester would fundamentally change my productivity between goodnotes and learning. It feels like a no-brainer feature to add since there is no good way to organize complex school material at the moment. I'm currently stuck organizing by a broad topic (heart, lungs, GI, etc), by professor, or by week in the semester, but this doesn't work in the big picture when I need to piece together information across different specific topics and species over the course of several years. Additionally, if this were to become a feature, I hope we can search for more than one hashtag at a time to really narrow in on what we're looking for. Example: #anesthesia #large animal would populate all my documents tagged with both hashtags, then I can study anesthesia protocol specific to large animals rather than hunting down a powerpoint from 18 months ago, 5 layers deep in a folder somewhere.
