Smudging an eraser by pressing harder would feel way more natural, so I get why you want it. I’ve found that apps that nail this usually give a tiny slider to control how aggressive the pressure curve is, which helps when switching between sketching and note taking. If Goodnotes added something like that, it’d keep things flexible without messing with people who prefer a fixed eraser size.

I’ve had the same hiccup, and having the typing tool parked up in the toolbar would smooth things out a lot. Half the time I feel like I’m playing hide and seek with the text box option. A quick-tap button would keep the flow going, especially if you switch between handwriting and typing on the fly. I’d love it if they tossed in a small toggle for default text style too, so it doesn’t reset every time.

I’ve run into the same snag and it drives me up the wall. I usually end up drawing the shape bigger than I want, letting the app snap it, then shrinking it down, but it feels like patching a leak with tape. A simple toggle for free size would save so much fuss. Even a slider for the minimum snap size would make things way smoother.

Same here, I keep forgetting to switch back and end up lasso-ing air like a goof. A simple auto-return option would save so many extra taps. I love how GoodNotes keeps things flexible, so having it as a toggle in settings would hit the sweet spot for folks who want it and those who don’t. Would make the whole flow feel a lot smoother during fast note sessions.

I’ve been wishing for a true off switch too, since I mostly jot down quick notes and don’t want extra stuff running in the background. A simple toggle in settings would keep things chill for folks who just want a basic notebook vibe. I still want the handwriting tools and sync, just without any AI bits kicking in behind the scenes.
