I am writing to you on behalf of a large community of students in the Czech Republic who use—or would love to use—Goodnotes for their daily studies.
While Goodnotes is an outstanding application, we are currently missing one critical feature that significantly limits its usability for us: Czech language support for Handwriting Recognition.
Without the ability to accurately recognize Czech characters (such as ř, š, č, ž, ý, á, í, é), the handwriting-to-text conversion and handwritten note search are practically unusable. This effectively halves the app's utility for Czech students.
Here is why adding this feature would make a massive difference:
⚬ Crucial for Education: Students rely heavily on searching through their handwritten notes. Without support for our native language, studying becomes much less efficient.
⚬ Purchase Motivation: The lack of Czech handwriting recognition is a major dealbreaker. Without it, many students feel there is no compelling reason to purchase the full version of the app.
⚬ User Preference: While competing note-taking apps might already support our language, students genuinely prefer the interface, organization, and tools that Goodnotes offers. We want to choose your app, but we need it to understand our language.
Integrating Czech into your handwriting recognition engine would instantly unlock the full potential of Goodnotes for thousands of Czech students and professionals, giving them a clear reason to invest in the app.
