    Grouping and locking items (objects or “layers”) are right up there with most important missing features.

    [Layers is in progress 🚧]

    Hello,

    We’re thrilled to say that we hear you—one of our most-requested features, Layers, is on its way!

    Layers is gradually rolling out to Goodnotes Pro users on iPad and Mac. This early version supports up to 5 layers in notebooks. Please note that it isn’t available during a Pro trial.


    Layers is currently experimental, so your feedback is especially important. Please share your experience to help us understand how—and whether—we should develop the feature further.

    Came here to request this very thing. If I’m copying/pasting content to the same page, an arbitrary or offset position makes sense. However if I’m copying something from one page to paste onto another page, 90% of the time I need it to be pasted in place. (We can’t even snap things to a grid, so the resulting arbitrary element positioning per page creates so much jitter from page to page!)
