  2. I have gone all over this website looking for a place where I can post a technical problem and let you know a suggested work around for images in PDF files doesn't exactly work. It pretty much sucks when you don't give some contact information for posting complaints so I am posting here.

Here's my observation. I periodically archive a working log book to dropbox that includes image files. There was no problem with the images that were imported in Goodnotes 4. You acknowledge there have been problems having to do with the Jpg file that is used for images…

  8. I would wish to have the same function like in GoodNotes 4 to save my backup file in an external app.

There might be a problem at the moment with the backup function, because I became an error pop up with the message "ZIPFoundation.Archive.ArchiveError-Fehler 4".

  9. I organize all my studies using Goodnotes. Therefore I would love a flashcard mode where you can design the front and rear of a flash card using goodnotes and its great tools. Once the flash cards are filled with content you can flip the card an see the answer of the question on the front of the flash card. Cardflow+ has a good implementation of this idea.

  10. For iOS 11, it would be great if photos, text and pdfs could be dropped into a workbook. You could also add drag and drop support for moving individual pages between different notebooks and moving notebooks to different folders.

  12. The "Shape Tool" is essential for writing fractions, square roots and arrows. In mathematics note-taking, it is often to switch the shape tool on/off all the time when writing in the zoom window.

Hence, it is crucial for shape tool to be "selectable" both at the tool bar as well as directly on the zoom window.

We’re happy to announce that the update 5.6.0 that we released today adds an improved shape recognition including the option to hold at the end of a line to make a perfect shape, shape selection & editing, and curve drawing. It further improves the recognition of circles and squares and adds back the ability to draw shapes with the highlighter.

  13. Include a tool that allows the user to select, like the lasso tool, a drawn-out area of notes and render it invisible. This area can then be made visible by the tap of a finger within it (the margins of the invisible area are visible). Pretty much integrated flash cards and is valuable for those individuals using the SQ3R study method, or a similar method when taking notes.

  14. This way you can label pages within the notebook with certain names (not always written ON the page, necessarily). A table of content view of these title pages would help too.

  15. Please release Goodnotes Mac at other regions as well.
Or perhaps have a web version for the user to view, download and maybe even edit their document.

  17. Now that iPad has the screen recording feature, along with the good notes app, and use to Apple Pencil lectures can be made in the iPad..but the problem is that we do not have a coloured pointer to point on to the things we explain, so if such a feature could be introduced in the good notes app it would be great. An option that shows up a laser pointer or a coloured cursor that we can move without writing coming up...

GoodNotes 5.2 is now available as an update on the App Store, including the new presentation mode. The new laser pointer now has two styles: dot & trail. Trail will create a laser “trail” that disappears after 1 second making it the perfect “pointer” device.

  18. There is no reminder that your document contains more than one page.
I have to go to multiple page of you and check each document.
All that is needed is a reminder that there is more than one page to the document.

The latest update GoodNotes 5.5 is now available on the App Store. While scrolling through your document, you can now see the current page number and the total number of pages in this document. If you don’t like to see the page numbers, you can disable it in Menu > Settings > Document Editing.

  19. I think it would be a great feature if you could open 2 tabs at the same time, opened SIDE BY SIDE.

That way, we don't have to use a separate pdf reader when we're taking notes, (both on the pdf and the notebook itself.) :)

We’re excited to announce that we have completed this feature. It is now available in the update GoodNotes 5.3 for iPadOS (13.1).

With the update, we added full support for iPadOS’ multiple windows. It lets you do much more than viewing two documents side by side. To read everything you need to know about opening multiple documents, please visit goodnotes.com/ipad-os.

How to open a new window:

You can now open GoodNotes in multiple windows to view two documents side by side, view two pages of the same document in Split View, or pair it with other apps in spaces across your entire system. To open a new window, drag any of the elements listed below to the side of your screen:
