More color options in top menu bar (more than just 3)
On OneNote I have 14 different colored pens and highlighters up top. GoodNotes is superior to one note in almost every way except this one. I color code my notes, so I am forced to used one note. If I were to try and color code using goodnotes, it would take me hours longer because there are so many extra clicks to get to the correct color of pen or highlighter. Having more color options up top and allowing both pens and highlighters in the menu bar like one note would be amazing.
There is plenty of room up there, changing pen thickness is not important enough to have that much space up top, other colors are. But honestly there is plenty of room for more colors, you could just shift the thickness all the way to the right and the other menu options all the way to the left and have room for 10 more colors.

Same with the highlighter. Would love to be able to do fluent writing. What they could do is make the thickness of it into its own spot with a dropdown and make the colors and scroll bar that scrolls horizontally.

Need this! It’s time consuming to highlight my not3s with different colors with only 3 options at the top

I'm also a teacher who loves to use Goodnotes, and this would help dramatically!!

I've been saying this in the past 3 years, they have so much unused space

Brilliant idea hope GoodNotes is listening. On top of that, I would suggest the number of slot to be customizable, ideally ranging from 3 to 10. 5 colors is a sweet spot for me

Yea I bought the app and was very disappointed by this. It literally makes it unusable for me. I need to have at least 6 (preferably 10+) pen configurations saved and easily accessible - out in the open and only one tap away.

Please make this happen, good notes team. This would totally change the game!! We need at least 5 in the tool bar.

PLEASEEE 3 COLORS IS NOT ENOUGH HUHUHU
We need more colors in the tool bar. It really takes time to choose colors which are not in the tool bar.

I think this feature is more urgent than others. ;) im a teacher using goodnotes to teach physics. it’s a nightmare to keep choosing different colours

You guys can benefit a lot from the features of One note. No offense but they're features are better in terms of the more colors in the menu bar itself, infinite scrolling, easier to use lasso tools etc. I hate their palm rejection and weird pen thickness issues which is why m here. You guys have nailed the pencil use itself. Please make the UI a bit better.

Yes please, I would assume adding a total of 6 would be a very good start.

100% agree! I loved that Onenote was so much more efficient than physical highlighting, because you could just tap to switch pens (it genuinely was like switching pens because you could save them in different sizes). I use 5 colours to annotate scientific papers, and I really miss having them all visible at the top of the screen. It sounds like a tiny issue, but the wasted time really adds up and makes me feel like I wasted my money, since whole reason I got Goodnotes was to read more efficiently.
Also, and it's weird that your preset highlighter colours aren't an option for the lasso tool, you have to go add the exact same colours to your pen.
