Infinite Canvas
The biggest pro of digital note taking is the boundaries of traditional one and paper that it breaks.
Studies have shown that learning efficiency and understanding of a subject is increased by higher order learning and mind mapping. For these techniques, an infinite canvas is needed.
It would be highly appreciated if this function would be added.
Thank you.

I really miss vertical scrolling. I teach and write math with goodnotes and I hate having to flip back and forth to get equations from the bottom of the previous page. Time to try notability again I guess.
Also, I have a much harder time writing on the bottom 1/4 of the screen and am constantly wishing I could move the page up to get a better writing position.

Please set this as a priority. I want to switch back to GoodNotes 4 from Notability.

i was using notability for more than a year now and and right now i am trying goodnotes because i'm thinking about to change.
this is a feature i really miss! i often need to see what i wrote on the last page. going back and forwards is a pain when the zoom windows is activated! a small grey gap between the pages ("below / above each page") would be fine, but i really need to the the last page! e.g. if you're doing some math, you need to see what you wrote and the end of the last page.
hope that this feature will come. -

I have voted several times for scrolling similar to Notability as an option. Vertical and horizontal would bring me back from Notability. I like your product better but need this feature for teaching.

An infinitely long set of scrolling pages similar to Notability rather then to OneNote would be a good approach. I like what several users said about having the user able to set margins at the top and bottom of each page as well as the importance of printability and of using it as a display device. I also like what they say about the importance of keeping it as an option. Many "Notetaking" and "Writing" techniques such as Cornell Notetaking are page based for solid reasons.

Hello Uriel,
I don't mean it to be automatic. I'm fine if it's an option in settings that is off by default. Does that address your objection?

That's a reason why PDF annotations in OneNote is a pain! Please do not implement that!!!!

I forgot to mention that if my proposed add/remove vertical space mechanism is implemented as I described below, it would not be a negative to your many users who do NOT want infinite pages!
Plus, as a programmer myself, it sounds very easy to implement compared to infinite pages?
Oh ... and just to reiterate how much I'd like this ... please please please please with sugar on top!

I currently use Notability but not being able to insert/remove vertical space is a fatal flaw for me.
This would be a killer feature that would add a whole new market for GoodNotes, IMHO. Besides being excellent for fast note taking, it would also be superb for CREATING content without the need to lug a laptop about.
I write papers as handwritten notes first and often I want to go back and tweak a description or add another paragraph. These papers can be LONG! Inserting pages, cutting and pasting makes a huge time consuming mess of things.
This does not actually NEED to involve infinite pages, BTW. I have no problem with waiting for a slow process that runs through the whole document and adds a specified constant to the "y coordinates" of everything below a specified point and then repaginates! Need to allow negative constants to close up gaps too. Ideally the constant amount would be specified graphically but I can live with something simpler.
Please please please please please!!!!!
Thanks!

For my purposes, I prefer the paper templates and limited page size. This would be a handy option, though.

It shouldn't be a fixed feature. If we were given the OPTION of having it scroll-able (like on Notability), it would be nice! I love the page flipping on Good Notes, however.

How about this: An infinitely long sheet, but with small grey lines drawn between pages to show you where you're working. This would give users the benefit of an infinitely long sheet of paper without sacrificing export functionality. In a world where a problem can take as much as 3 pages to do, this would be a godsend and save a lot of flipping back and forth between pages to see where I was on the previous page.

Maybe this can be just another view on the document.
- Might be interesting to find solution for adding pages between.
- What about pages with differing size? -

I see this only as an option.

Agreed! Or at least scroll the page up so I can write on the bottom lines!!!

I agree this needs to be a feature. At least as an option. The issue here though is that people are comparing it to OneNote, when the proper comparison is really Notability. Notability has vertically scrolling pages and it is much nicer and provides a smoother transition in both writing notes as well as reviewing notes. And it does absolutely nothing to negatively affect usability like exporting to PDF (a valid concern with the OneNote-style infinite work space).

I think this is a great idea as an option

Infinite pages makes it impossible if you ever needed to print your pages or export to other applications as a PDF. If considered, please make this an option when creating a new notebook..

please do not do this! I want individual pages or learning cards for a particular topic.

Please don't do this. This is why I ditched OneNote. Endless pages are an absolute pain - I could never find anything. If you do it, then make it an option and not compulsory.
