Straight handwriting
It would be helpful if GoodNotes recognizes uneven handwriting and would transform it into a straight line.

Similar to on Microsoft word, when placing an around text, the text should have an option to automatically wrap around the image in different ways.

More then 3 colors in horizontal mode
When you use GoodNotes5 in horizontal mode on Ipad, there is a lot of free space to the right of the color-options. It would be nice to fill this space with the option to have more then just 3 colors available. At least 5, would be nice.

So many basic tools are missing
*no send to back/bring to front options
*no table creation options
*no way of editing hyperlinks within goodnotes, you have to do it externally
*no layer tool (adding this would solve the send to back issue)
*no opacity settings for pens
*no bullet point options for typingThese are such basic tools in other apps and I’m actually astounded GoodNotes does not have them. Even word 2007 had some of these options, let’s not pretend they’re innovative tools. Without them GoodNotes is frustrating to use and frankly just a poor way of organising information, I really expect better, come on…

Color Subgroups
I use adobe color to pick out sets of colors and I wish I could group them easily long-term in Good Notes 5. I would like to see the ability to assign color palette groups to a new notebook and a menu to alter the current palette. The workflow would look like:
I find a set of n hex values to import into good notes
I copy & paste, Good Notes intelligently recognizes a list of hex values and asks if I would like to import.
I accept and see a small box menu that describes “Which Notebooks to Add…8 votes -
Too much RAM usage
GoodNotes takes several gigabytes (sometimes more than 10 gigs) of RAM on my computer for just 5 documents. These are not fancy documents, just one note with 17 pages, one grayscale textbook PDF around 400 pages, and 3 more notes with about 5 pages each. This definitely should be fixed. This happens when the GoodNotes is running for several days, and seems like GoodNotes will never release acquired RAM, which is something any programmer should have learned in his/her Introduction to Programing course. Chrome, which is famous for its RAM consumption, "only" (I used the word loosely, comparing to GoodNotes…

More colors in the taskbar
I use several colors regularly and I must select the one that does not appear in the bar. If there were 4 colors and even five you could have them available more quickly. Others handwriting apps have quite a few colors available on the taskbar so you don't waste time choosing. In the figure I have put six colors and it does not look bad.

status bar
I want to hide the status bar in iPadOS 15 for screen work space.
In the previous iPadOS 14, I was able to hide the status bar, so I could use the screen space largely, but I can't hide it after I turned 15, so it's a little inconvenient.8 votes -
Options to remove gap between pages while new page load automatically
I do a lot of practice problems and it is a little annoying to force scroll up to add a new page while other apps automatically add up a new page as I'm approaching the end of my current page.
So I would love if there was an option to eliminate the gap between pages so that it looks like an infinite and unbroken canvas while pages are being added automatically as soon as the app senses that I'm approaching the end of my current page.8 votes -
Make all pages the same width for better scrolling
It would be great to have an option to make all pages the same width (or at least displayed so). When pages have different widths, they tend to move sideways when scrolled vertically. And this is very unpleasant.
When importing pages from different sources, Notability makes all pages the same width by default, and this makes scrolling very smooth.

View highlights and notes
Hi i think it would be so great if there was a tab to view highlights and notes made on a document. I love to use GoodNotes for my textbooks or pdfs professors give and i annotate on them a lot but it is so hard finding where i highlighted something or noted something because i have to scroll through the document. Sometimes my documents are 100 pages long and takes to long to find where something is highlighted

iPad mini 6 doesn't have stylus settings
Bug: the new iPad mini 6 doesn't have the settings for stylus and palm rejection. I'm guessing that it isn't on the list of supported devices yet. Extremely inconvenient because a finger touch draws and there is no way to turn this off.

google drive backup by folder
I love that you can backup to google drive but think it would be even better if we could backup specific folders in goodnotes to specific folders in google drive. i.e. a lecture notes folder on goodnotes only syncs to a google drive folder for that class.

Deep Links that can be shared or copied/pasted to other apps
A similar idea has been posted, but I want to make another point. Given you’re current framework where each page is a separate file, it should be relatively simple to add a way (probably the Share drawer icon) to copy that page file address link and paste it in other apps where if i click the link it would open GoodNotes up and show me that page.
Bonus points if this link could be SHARED to other GoodNotes users (who do not even have the file) and it could open up that page on THEIR Mac/iPad/iPhone etc. This would be…

Vielen Dank
