  1. Please make it an option to permanently disable PDF outlines that exist within a document, so that you don't have to go to 'filter' in the outlines view and turn PDF outlines off each time you open up a notebook.
When you download university readings or just lots of large documents in general it really clutters things up. I would love to be able to turn this off once for all my notebooks and forget about it!

  2. A eye dropper for the pen and high lighter because a lot of people use this app to study or for calendars (including myself) and some people like to group things with high lighters or underline and it’s pretty hard going back and checking if you got the right color or if it’s slightly lighter or darker especially with the highlights

  3. It would be nice if we could also rearrange flash cards once they’ve been created, instead of having to take the time out to copy the info, duplicate a card in the desired spot, clear the newly duplicated card, and paste/rewrite all the info.

  4. EN: The ability to label/ write flashcards just like regular notes (i.e. picture, pencil and text AT ONCE, not just one of them at a time).
Post’its and stickers are welcome as well.

DE: Die Möglichkeit, Karteikarten wie normale Notizen zu beschriften/schreiben (d.h. Bild, Stift und Text AUF EINMAL, nicht nur eines davon).
Post'its und Aufkleber sind ebenfalls willkommen.

  5. Being able to add images in comments would improve communicative abilities when reviewing docs and also provide the ability to add references/context images to paragraphs that can collapse into just a comment note. ( and don’t occupy space in the actual page )

  6. Currently, GoodNotes offers a few basic actions in Apple Shortcuts.
I would love to see more advanced actions that allow users to customize their workflows to a greater extend.

Here are some automations/workflows I could imagine:

    • Shortcut to open the notebook corresponding to the lecture your currently sitting in (by checking your current calendar events)
    • Every evening, automatically check whether I’ve written something to my diary today, if not, prompt me to do so and open the last page
    • Every evening, check which lecture notes were edited, then export them and share them with a friend who doesn’t use GoodNotes

  8. Make Extra Margin Space In Imported PowerPoints
It would be super nice to have extra space to write sentences and phrases on the side or under imported PowerPoint instead of only being able to write on the slide. Writing on the slide helps highlight terms etc, but doesn't help any extra information a teacher/professor may say out loud, that's not a part of the slide.

  9. I feel like this has been asked for multiple times, I love Goodnotes duh but the blue folders are so boring to look at. Having the option to change the colors of them would be very beneficial-especially for organization. If we can have so many notebook options, I feel like we should have some more options with the folders.

  10. Larger Thumbnails. One of the great things about keeping notes in a paper notebook is that you can quickly skim through previous notes. You flip through pages very quickly finding what you're looking for. Thumbnail view is the best way to do this with digital note taking. Please give the option to increase the size of the thumbnail to make this easier.

    • Bullet points and SUB bullet points option in tool bar
    • Change text size through drop down text size menu instead if pressing + and -
    • Presets for Title, Heading, Heading 2, Heading 3 text sizes
    • Being able to choose a default text font
    • Fixing common bug issues like not being able to type, the text box losing its colour, font and text size when copying and pasting, more stable experience

  11. When you write on a din4 template and scan a paper document that is also din4 the ist going to be bigger than the template I use. It might be slightly but the difference makes the papers seem like a different size and on the side edges it is not fixed anymore. I want The paper just to scroll down but now it moves to the side. To fix it I can zoom full out but then the brightness of the pages won’t fill the howl display. Please make it the same size so it won’t move a side.

  12. I feel that the flashcards would be perfect if I was able to flip them and get tested on the "answer" side. when I'm studying a language, I want to be able to get tested on both languages. And if it's possible, it would be amazing to be able to mess with the setting and get a mix of either side of the flashcards in a study sesh. Also the ability to randomise flashcards would be great. In general, more customisation for how we want to be tested would be awesome. Other than that, I'm really happy with this flashcard…

  13. Ich wünschte mir eine Übersichtsfunktion bei dem Lernset, damit man eine Übersicht aller Karten hat ohne alle durchzuswipen zu müssen.

    Englisch:

  14. After the latest update that allows the user to add more than 3 colours, the stroke menu has morphed into this menu that you must click on to expand first and only then will it allow you to choose stroke sizes. Nobody has asked for the latter and please restore it. Thank you

  15. Hey

I‘m studying philosophy and we have a lot of PDFs we have to read. While reading it is sometimes necessary to make notes beside the text, but often the PDF itself does not give enough space to properly write anything.

Currently I use the MarginAdjuster app (on iPad) to extend the space left/right to each PDF page and THEN import it into GoodNotes.

It would be awesome to have some similar functionality directly in the app itself.

    Thanks!

  16. An option to put the Smart Learning into Shuffle like you’re able to do in learning mode would be nice.

Also, let us learn our cards flipped too! Especially when learning new vocabulary it is crucial to have „question“ and „answer“ to be asked flipped so we learn both ways. New language—mother tongue, mother tongue—new language equally.

And one more thing: Have the same option as in the previous Learning decks you have in the notebooks> an option to grade with at least 3 buttons on how good you memorized the card.

  17. i have lots of notebooks, some use the same exact colors all the time and some vary each use. i’d love to be able to set a color palette to one notebook, like my planner, and be able to just always have those colors set aside and set as favorites when i switch into that notebook.

  18. On GoodNotes, I have different slide packets for classes, I have to open them one at a time by selecting one, going to back, then selecting another one. If there was a select button to open multiple documents at once, it would be great

  19. My idea would be that you can create multiple color palettes and scroll back and forth between them.
For example, you could create a palette for work/school on the first “page” and one for your calendar on the next.
