BUG: tool switch by measure with an external laser measuring device
Hello,
Sorry for using the feature request to report a BUG. Unfortunately I have not found an option for a BUG report.I use Goodnotes for measurements on site. Goodnotes runs on the iPad with the latest padOS. I use a Leica Disto X4 for the measurements. The Disto is connected to the iPad via Bluetooth.
BUG:
I have activated the pen (or another tool) and measure with the Disto.
Every time after the measurement Goodnotes changes the tool to "Newest" (the tool with the star icon).
and you have to switch back to the previous tool every time after…1 vote -

according to textbox:
1. different border styles for textboxes (dotted, dashed, ...)
2. textbox-shadows also on other sides, not just bottom (for example: just on the left side, ...)

1. option to change the font and color of H1, etc. (for example: I want a blue headline and black text for my notes, so i can manually change this to the font and color I like and dont need to recolor after writing notes)

Move tools around in tool ribbon
Would be great if you could re-organize the toolbar or tool ribbon at the top of the page. I use the zoom window the most, but it's all the way on the right so I have to swipe on the toolbar with my finger to get to it. it would be great if I (or you) could put it right next to the pen tool.

Mouse side button functionality
It would be great to use the side buttons on a mouse (e.g., MX mouse) as a back and forward button (similar functionality in browsers).

Change page template for all pages at once.
Currently, changing the template only changes it for a single page, would be great if we could remove the template for all pages at once after finishing the notes.
We may need a ruled, squared or dotted page while writing notes but while reading/sharing we would prefer it on a blank background.

Have the ability to have margins
As a student, I am often completing exam papers and download them onto my goodnotes to then complete. I often find that there isn't enough space to write on the sheet so I create a new blank page to write my answers. However it is very inconvenient to have to scroll up and down to read the question then scroll down to write my working then scrolling back up again for the the questions and so on. More favorite text options
There is an option to save our favorite font and size of a text, I think it would be lovely to have multiple favorites so that there would be more text boxes already edited as a quick access.

Fixing Screenshot Shortcut & Zoom Shortcut
I am talking about the GoodNotes version for macOS.
On Mac, you can use the shortcut cmd + shift + 4 to take a screenshot of a selected area. However, this also changes the scrolling mechanism from scrolling through a document to zooming in or out of a document.I hope there is no existing post on this topic yet.

I want to type math text on macOS
It would be nice to type and edit math expressions in the notes from MacOS Goodnotes. The same should apply to desktop/web versions.
There are text editors out there that allow me to enter MathJax text between $ (dollar) signs that is rendered into the math formulae.
It would be very handy if we could do the same from Goodnote Desktop/Web versions. (Math conversion from handwritten text is great, but it is not always the fastest way to enter complicated formulae.)

search flash cards
Why is there no way to search for words in flashcards just like in the notebooks?
Also, the favorite feature for flashcards would also be really helpful.
All in all, i just want the same features for flash cards that i have for notebooks.

Move Utility Bar Divider Between Colors and Functions
I would like to be able to move the divider between the colors and tools to the left to allow a greater selection of colors to be available. I remember this was a thing before in Goodnotes, where the ruler and laser pointer were behind the divider and I could access a greater number of colors and/or line thickness.
As a user who rarely uses anything past the lasso tool and sometimes the image insert but uses several colors in my notes it would very useful!

Pages
It would be better if there would be an option to have a one or two-page screen (especially for us visual learners). Also, a side tab line which scrolls you throughout the pages in the screen. This feature would be a great help to easily see photographically the pages of the notes/pdfs just like in actual setting.

Option for temporarily deleting documents from offline.
My huge love for Goodnotes for a long time but guess sometimes we need the option for temporarily deleting some documents from offline even retaining same documents in online (iCloud or Google Drive) due to low storage iPads/iPhones.
It would be wonderful if we could get "Make available offline" (also "unavailable offline") function like the attached screenshot (and this is Google Drive folder in Mac OS's Finder).

too easy to swipe to next page
it’s too easy to swipe to next page. when i’m near the edge and i want to move (quite softly. for sure its not sudden) to write more it takes me to new page and it’s frustrating

Enhance audio recording by linking it to pages/text written
When I want to listen to a specific part on my document, instead of skipping through the recording by myself until I find it. I could just click on the text I’ve written while I recorded that part, and Goodnotes would automatically skip to the part and start playing the recording.
I hope that makes sense, it’s just like notability. I know a lot of people who would switch to Goodnotes if that feature is available.3 votes -
Open the same document/page in another window directly
Often, I want to write on one page or section of a document while viewing the same document in another window. Or I want to open my two-page guitar score (in one document) in two separate windows to have the score fitted perfectly on the screen of my iPad in landscape mode.
Currently, I have to open another GoodNotes window and find the document, which can often take a while. It would be so much more efficient if I could just open the same document in a new window directly via a new button.1 vote
