  1. Straight line for underlining

    When using the shape tool, make it so that when the line is relatively close to horizontal, make it snap into perfectly horizontal. Underlining pdf's is hard when all the straight lines are slightly slanted. I think this worked until the update 3 days ago. Thanks.

  2. Trim (erase) to next line

    A tool (like in a CAD software) to find the next line intersection and trim the selected line. Example- if you have a handwritten 'X' , selected this tool, and tapped the top right section of the line going bottom left to top right, it would look like 'λ'

  3. group and stack tabs together while working on several documents

    when many tabs are opened, it becomes harder to maintain a good overview. I suggest the option of putting tabs of documents together in a group or stack, so that I can now work on other documents, but still can reopen the other tabs fast without having to close them before.
    For example: I‘m working on my physics homework and my answer and exercise sheets are opened. But also, I do have to take a look from time to time into the maths and physics theory notes, but not often, and still, they are using up a lot of tab…

  7. Standard page number like PDF documents

    What we would like is the page number like PDF documents. The page number in Roman numerals like i, ii, iii, iv, v, vii, should be support to display on the several starting pages, so that the following pages could have right page number matched with the real. I know that you just added a new feature about page number, but I don’t think it’s very useful. This request to support PDF page number display is more useful.

  8. Memorize sorting criteria by folder/file list

    It would be useful if Goodnotes could retain the preferred sorting criteria by folder/file list. Personally, I prefer by type for lists of folders or lists of archived notes, but for long list of files including some files which I use daily, I would prefer by date. Right now, I have to manually switch the sort criteria each time I access the different lists.

    In den Textfeldern funktioniert schon das Thema, mit der Tabulatortaste der Tastatur den Text zu verschieben. Nur leider begrenzt. Nur über 5 kleine Schritte, dann springt der Text bereits eine Spalte tiefer und rechts wäre noch soviel Platz frei...

  10. Simple Keyboard Only Tools for Iphone

    As a Goodnotes user on Ipad (+ Pencil) and Iphone I would really like more flexibility with using a keyboard for text imput on both platforms, but primarily on Iphone.

    I would really like to have nested bullet points, dashes, numbering, and indentation features available within the Text Boxes

  11. External links to and image previews of GoodNotes Pages

    Links to Goodnotes pages that you could insert in other sites and apps.
    For example within "Roam Research" or "Notion" it would be amazing if you could have a reference link to a jpeg preview of a particular page that would be updated as the page was updated. Then you could have a link that opened that page in Goodnotes. This way the image would be handy and could be updated when required. This would be an amazing way to extend out Goodnotes usefulness within a broader note-taking ecosystem. Sönke Ahrens book "How to take smart notes" advocates taking literature…

  12. The ability to move you file sytem of goodnotes over to a home NAS.

    This way a new note would automaticly be stored on my NAS. Also I would not have to use ICloud to see my notes on other devices. This would make things a lot more orginised and it would also save storage space on my ipad! :)

  15. Uploading multiple templates at once

    I'd like to be able to select multiple images and upload them as templates (paper/cover) as it's a bit tedious when I want to upload many original templates, and having to upload them one by one.

  16. Fuunction to change between dark and white paper

    Have a color and their paste equivalent and change between those colors so that you can change the paper from dark to white and that way you can study at night but also print your notes.

  17. Have running titles and headings

    It would be great to be able to have a header seperate to the rest of the page to hand write titles. The you could set he header to duplicate across the next x amount of pages.

    I know you can hand write the title each time, or lasso tool the title and copy it manually, but longer documents can be tedious.

    I would like to be able to write “Lecture 1 - Introduction” on my first page, the set the header to repeat for the next 3 pages. Then write “Lecture 2 - Theory’ on page 4, and set…

  18. zoom box and tool bar both on top

    I think Goodnotes would be more functional and enjoyable if the tools and the zoom box were near each other instead separated. It makes it easier to switch from tool to tool while utilizing the zoom function. Having the tools on the same bar where the indent, shift buttons, and x keys are on the zoom box would be so helpful!

  19. Automatic Heading Numbering & Grammarly Integration.

    I create my notes off professors’ notes, and thus I need an option to go to a subsequent number when I hit enter. I still use Microsoft Word for this because GOODNOTES 5 doesn't offer this possibility. Also, it would be great if you could integrate GRAMMARLY to GOODNOTES 5.
