  1. POWERPOINT IMPORTING

    As a medical student I have to go through lots of lectures and content daily. I have been using onenote as it allows for a fast importing of powerpoints when you convert the slides into PNG file types so i can make notes around them. Im struggling with goodnotes as although you can very quickly import these slides you cant make notes around the slides and you cannot import the slides onto the page of the notebook eg 2x slides per page without doing screenshots which takes a very long time for a lecture with over 100 slides in it.…

  2. Better "formating" like in Word, so it`s worth using a MacBook

    I think many people want better use of theyre Keyboard. So it would actually be worth bringing a MacBook with you, and not only using GoodNotes for Handwriting.

  3. Add option for eraser to only erase handwriting

    Right now, the eraser would get whatever is in the background of the handwriting, so if I have a brush stroke and it's beautiful, it's gone if I want to change the text that I had overlaid on top of it. Like with the lasso, the eraser should have more options so it doesn't erase things we want to keep

  6. Option to remove the hold to zoom/add comment menu

    Whenever I’m writing my finger is held down on the screen and opens the menu shown in the photo. It’s extremely distracting and makes it impossible to use this app.

  8. Option to fit all pages to one width

    When rotating a page in a PDF document, the width of the single pages varies from the upright to the horizontal ones. This causes vertical scrolling to also scroll left or right sometimes. Double-tapping to zoom also doesn't feel as natural anymore.
    I'd like to have an option to display all pages in the same width which would solve both problems.

  9. Zoom window line-break fix

    When the zoom window extends past the edge of the page, the next line should appear inline following a grey area to denote the page boundary.

    Currently, the zoom window handles line breaks inconsistently. If the blue 'advance' region is too long for the remainder of the line, it sometimes continues with a carriage return/ line break. However, the auto-advance does not always perform this line break. Sometimes, the blue region appears but only attempts to advance further within the same line.   11. Enhance tab logic and text tool

    Sometimes when users want to open a new document. They have to tap return multiple times to all folders if they have more folders inside folders for classification, and finally they can open the document they want. This severely decrease productivity and annoy users.

    To make tab logic easier to understand, one tap for the “+” button can open a new tab for all documents and open the document they want faster.

    Also for the text tool, we hope that users can set three default style for better visual hierarchy in text notes.

  12. Support other formats - preview

    All the things at one place - in GoodNotes

    Please add support to as much formats as you can. Even links with just preview would be awesome. I don’t want to have some type of stuff in files and other in GoodNotes. I all the time struggle to find what I have and where.

    Please add the function: so that the highlighter can be kept straight, instead of being held for a few seconds and turning into a straight line. This would increase the speed of working, which is often very annoying when it turns into a curve...

  15. Notetaking on keyboard

    Sometimes it's better to take notes on the computer(with the keyboard) rather than by hand. Some features that are available on Microsoft Word such as automatic capital letters, bullets, and grammar control would be great to make this easier. Then you can use GoodNotes for everything rather than use different "apps" for different things within the same subject.

    Also make the app compatible with the regular shortcuts and touchbar on mac pro.

  16. Improve the compatibility with the iPad Magic Keyboard

    The MagicKeyboard works really badly on GN. Sometimes you can't scroll back and forth on the trackpad at all or it just jumps back and forth.
    As soon as you open a second window, you sometimes can't write at all and have to close the app completely so that it doesn't work again after 2 minutes.
    You should also be able to write on the line and not always in between.

  17. Sync all settings, custom colours and templates across devices (not just documents)

    Doesn’t sync settings, custom templates and custom colour pallets across devices! It is really troublesome to manage (and update) everything manually across 3 devices. Please rectify this!

  18. Automatically scroll to, and highlight, outline closest to current page in document view area when opening outline section of page grid view

    When opening the page grid view, and clicking on the outline section (as opposed to thumbnails section), it would be awesome if the outline section would automatically scroll down (and highlight/bolden) the outline that is closest to (but before or on) the current page the user is editing/looking at in the documents view page. Currently, every time the outline section of the page grid view is selected, the list shows the very top of the outline list, and the user has to scroll down to outlines that are relevant to the current page, as opposed to the outline section automatically…

  19. features for pens and markers

    I would like the following features for pens and markers:
    (1)Please be able to draw a dotted line.
    (2)Make it possible to change the transparency of the marker color.
    (3)Make it possible to change the thickness of the line after drawing. (It's not a size change, it's a thickness change. When you scale down it, the line becomes too thin.)

  20. Quick access to the last documents by menu called „history“ for example. The menu could be placed at the bottom, where favourites etc are.
