  1. Being able to split a page horizontally would allow to insert a new page for notes in between lines. This is useful for exercise pdfs with many questions, so you can answer directly below the question.

  2. I love the flash cards they are an amazing studying tool. But when studying them, I often feel the urge to zoom into my answers as they have diagrams. Also sometimes I need to fill in a lot of information on the flashcard which means I have to write small and when I do this, it’s really hard to see them in the study mode. It would be really helpful to be able to zoom in and out of the flash cards whilst studying them.

  3. When text is added on one page, Goodnotes could automatically add another page below the current one, so we don't need to pull to add page as we go. Although the pull feature works, it would be nicer if this was done automatically so the user can continually write without breaking up their flow to add a page. The last blank page could be excluded from page exports as well.

  4. To utilise the new elements feature it would be great if we would be able to import or export elements sets. This would be great for digital sticker sets you buy from Etsy or similar places, so you do not have to import each sticker individually.

  5. The new flash card feature is terrific! Thank you! I have been a Anki user for a long time because of their image occlusion add on. It allows you to make a flash card from any image, which has been super useful to increase productivity and minimize time spent making cards. Anki did not have a convenient draw function. Goodnotes has solved that problem for me.

A easy fix would be a solid fill in the shape tool. This would allow image occlusion and make the flash card template unstoppable. I know dental and medical students would really appreciate this…

  6. I love the app for studying and editing documents but I think the app is missing big features that would solidify its spot as the best note taking app in the App Store. The features that I feel would make the app 10x better: gifs, other short video replays, bigger library of stickers, different pen styles, dotted or other style lines, and more templates. Some of these are such easy add ons that it really doesn’t make sense why the developer haven’t done something about this already. Especially when countless other users have asked more these.

  8. A “stamp tool”:
This would allow users to natively create stamps of their own design using existing GoodNotes tools like shapes AND/OR import photos or shapes that can be added to an internal library of shapes to be used over and over. See below for functionality.

    User draws or writes something.
User selects the object with stamp tool.
The stamp tool saves the object into “library or repository of object.”
User can “stamp” the object repeatedly.

This is like the objects library in illustrator. You could have an “object selector tool” to select the items that go into the library.…

  11. It would be great if one could use the lasso tool between pages instead of having to copy and paste to move notes/images from one page to another.

  12. I would love to use a Goodnotes' planner, but there is one obstacle in the way for me, since reminders and events in those planners are not recognised by operating system.
I would love to have the option to sync those event/reminder information within Calendar and Reminders apps. So when I plan something (maybe within a special text field) into my planner, the event/reminder would be mirrored in those apps.

It would be even greater if it could go the other way as well - for the Reminders app: check in Reminders app = checks in Goodnotes but I am…

  14. Mac app is slow for large PDFs, as a person who studies a pdf on the MacBook and takes notes on the iPad, the Mac app is quite slow to navigate through the PDF. I'm running the latest app on the MacBook Pro 16

  15. By using finger and holding, it should be possible to move pictures and photos from one page to the next rather than copy, insert on new page, delete on old. That is really awkward.

  16. When replying to an e-mail, it's useful to be able to attach a document from GoodNotes. This is different from exporting a GoodNotes document by e-mail from inside GoodNotes, which creates a new e-mail.

A possible workflow could be: receive an e-mail with a PDF attachment to review -> export the PDF to GoodNotes for signature / annotating -> reply to the e-mail and attach the annotated PDF.

Currently, it's possible to use Mail.app and GoodNotes in split screen, and drag a GoodNotes document to an e-mail reply. However, that seems to be restricted to Mail.app. Other mail apps don't…

  17. I'd really like a way to set up Outlines for our notebooks so that each section has its own subsection. The subsection would be linked altogether (e.g., Chapter 1 is one, Chapter 2 is another, etc.)

That way, we could more easily drag and drop to reorder things in our notebook instead of having to tediously do each slide one-by-one!

  18. When I move files the top most view of my folder structure is displayed, on whichever sublevel my file currently is saved. It would be helpful to open all folders in the current path so it is easier to see where exactly the file is currently saved as well as to save it on a folder higher in the current tree.
