  1. I would love support for secondary monitor scrolling. As of now when I have my 4k secondary monitor in portrait or landscape mode the scrolling is very choppy that makes it near impossible to use. If I have my sidebar up it seems to run a little smoother but not well enough for practical use so as of now I always keep my sidebar up and choose the page rather than scrolling.

  2. At the moment if you want to add an element in the library if the object in question was not created by hand, you need first to make a screeshot and then add the element. This can be relatively time consuming if you want to bulk create them, since making a screeshoot is a three step process (take screenshot -> Select export -> copy )

    An alternative would be to either or both:
    * add an element directly as an image by selecting a portion of the document
    * or by adding an instant snapshot feature to copy the area…

  3. If I'm using Zoom on my iPad, I can't use presentation mode. I have to do Zoom on a computer and share the iPad to the computer via AirPlay or Reflector to get the presentation mode. It would be nice if I could get the presentation mode when doing Zoom through the Zoom app on the iPad.

  4. Useful if someone import pages wrongly.

    Say I want to import a 300-page pdf file into a new file, but I mistakenly chose to import it into the current file. It would be convenient if there was an undo button to delete those new pages in the current file.

  5. It takes way too much time to copy/paste items today. I would like to recommend a copy/paste buttons on toolbar and at the same moment to make the toolbar customisable.

  6. If you export a single document as PDF and set the setting to "Editable", the outline is preserved. The PDF's which are created by the automatic backup (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive) do not contain the outline, because they are saved as "Flattened". Please add an option to automatically save the documents as "Editable-PDF" in the cloud.
    Alternatively, an option for a one-time backup of the whole library in GoodNotes to "Editable-PDF" would be a great option. At the moment the option "Backup Data" can only be used to create a backup in the Good-Notes file system.

  7. hope to make a function that can combine any element just like the function in WORD of MS office. So that users can make their own complex object such as table with lines and text box, complex shape with many circles and rectangles. if users can combine and split all elements freely, we can make our document better and edit it more easily

  9. I’ll be teaching first aid classes soon and we used tons of FlipCharts & chisel tip pens when we learned how to teach them. I’d like to use what I learned in class to teach and use my iPad at the same time. I‘ve been using GoodNotes for a while now and I really think a Chiseltip feature and maybe a FlipChart-esque template would really improve the app

  10. Hello,
    Do you know while writing with Samsung pencil, it makes sound like writing on paper. I thought this feature might have to do apple updates, but recently, while using ‘Lake’ app, they added this feature that when you use brush, it will make sound like you are using it on paper. It gives overall such a nice feel.
    I do not want to use paperlike because it deteriorate screen appearance but what I do love is the sound of writing on paper. Please please add this feature. If ‘Lake’ people can do it, you too can.

  11. Currently flashcards aren't full screen so the answers look very tiny

    Also please add the ability to move the line dividing the Question and Answers up and down cause some answers are too big to fit in that small space

  12. An ability to precisely select the eraser size rather than just a choice between three sizes (all of which are huge!) would be very helpful.

    The standard sizes for the eraser are all very large and so even using the smallest means that part of the words above and below end up getting removed. I appreciate you can zoom in to get more precision, but it interrupts workflow and is not a speedy or efficient solution when trying to take notes of a live meeting and keep up!

  13. Renently, notability can draw a curve line.

    Need to improve pen tool to draw a curve line - also arrow line

    As a math teacher and 5-year goodnote user, need to draw a cartesian coordinate plane, or quadratic&cubic&quartic function.

    Please make four-dotted line -like vectornator or Illustrator- to draw that curve! Before I change to Notability!

  14. I import so many pdf texts for studying and all of the time I am in need of definitions of the words in those documents, I would kill for Goodnotes to have this feature.

  16. I need to read lots of PDF documents for my work. However every page of PDF document is always occupied by tons of words and almost no empty space for making handwriting note because it needs lots of space.

    I switch to GoodNotes from GoodReader, and I really need this function, if what I described is not clear enough, please check the screenshot I upload.

  17. Enable more colors and styles for the laser pointer. Also provide a feature that gives the option to keep laser writing on the document longer until dismissed by presenter via erasure or some special triple tap, or even a release button at the top.

  19. While taking notes on The professor's PowerPoints or any document I need to complete, It would be extremely useful to add a temporary grid paper to ensure that I'm writing straight. This way, my notes are organized, neat and well structured.

  20. Allow text to be added directly to the paper rather than using text boxes. This will create a more seamless structure of handwriting and text like Notability. A text box that shifts around the screen has its uses, but as a primary text input method, it is a disappointing experience. Where lined paper is used, the lines should also adapt to the font size and text positioning in a similar way to notability. When pictures are added to the document, the text should wrap around it. Allow text styling, alignment and bullet features that are present in most text editors.…
