Any update on this? Really missing this feature. Scratching out a word works much faster than double tap the pencil (and switch to the eraser). It feels more natural as well (when writing on paper you would do the same).

I totally agree with this idea! Having to use the lasso tool is very exhaustive. Converting handwriting to text should be one click away.

Definitely a very interesting idea but quite complex and probably only relevant for very tech-savvy power users. We’re not sure but maybe it is already doable using Shortcuts, as other apps can read the converted text.

This is a 100% must for me. Switching between the pencil and the eraser costs too much times, because it is not fluent. This feature would speed up my productivity for sure!
