I understand you're looking for that handy OneNote feature from 15 years ago that pulled all your to-dos into one notebook. While I can't directly add features to software, OneNote still offers a powerful "To Do" tag system that's likely the modern equivalent. You can add these tags to any line in your notes, and then use the "Find Tags" pane (usually under the Home tab) to see all your tagged to-dos https://www.upsers.us.com across all notebooks. Some older desktop versions of OneNote also integrated with Outlook Tasks.

Having configurable "favorite pens" readily accessible on the top bar for one-click selection would be a massive time-saver and significantly improve the user experience. Imagine just tapping an icon to instantly switch between your "green thin" https://www.yourtexasbenefitse.com and "navy thick" pens without digging through menus. This kind of quick access to personalized tools streamlines the whole process.
