Goodnotes, being originally developed in an English-speaking environment, presents a challenge with the "Horizontal" Scroll Direction setting when reading vertical Japanese text (Tategaki).

Traditional Japanese vertical text is read and processed from right to left. However, with the current "Horizontal Scroll" setting, users must swipe left (→) to advance to the next page. This action is the reverse of how one naturally flips pages in a physical Japanese document (←) and disrupts the native Japanese reading flow, making it feel unnatural and difficult to read.

Currently, the only way to mitigate this issue is to use a cumbersome workaround: printing (or exporting) the PDF in reverse page order before importing it into Goodnotes and then starting the reading process from the final page.

We urgently request an enhancement to the "Scroll Direction" settings to include a new option: "Horizontal (Right-to-Left)" scrolling. This new setting should allow users to swipe right to advance to the next page, matching the natural flow of reading Tategaki Japanese.
