Please consider adding the option to cut or split audio recordings. This would allow users to record continuously during meetings, lectures, or interviews and then divide the recording into separate sections by topic afterward. It would make organizing recordings much easier and also allow users to remove silent or unnecessary portions without having to start multiple recordings.
It would also be incredibly helpful to add audio markers or bookmarks, allowing users to place timestamps during a recording to quickly return to important discussions without having to scrub through the entire audio file.
Another valuable feature would be automatic silence detection, which could identify and optionally trim long pauses or dead air. This would make recordings cleaner and save users time during review.
In addition, displaying the recording as a waveform (WAV display) would make navigation and editing much more intuitive. A waveform allows users to visually identify speech, silence, and louder segments, making it easier to jump to specific parts of a recording.
Lastly, it would be great to include a basic audio enhancement tool, such as a simple equalizer, voice enhancement, or volume boost. This would help users hear faint voices or background discussions more clearly, especially when recordings are made in large rooms or noisy environments.
These features would improve the audio recording experience and make Goodnotes even more useful for students, professionals, researchers, and anyone who relies on audio notes for meetings, lectures, interviews, and fieldwork.
