[Toolbar] Bring back bookmark icon
Need a bookmark icon on the top menu to bookmark the page you are viewing with just one tap.

My work flow is musical script work and need to quickly bookmark a page quickly on the fly to return to to fix any issues in the show.

I completely agree with the last comment. You've given us more work to do.

It is so annoying, and sad, that there is no chance they will ever restore the Bookmarks icon. They are being very defensive about this change. When I ask "who does it benefit?", all they say is the interface is more 'streamlined'. It helps NO ONE, it hinders quite a few users who rely on the Bookmarks icon being visible in the Toolbar (rather than the Sidebar which takes up screen space). There was absolutely NO REASON for this. This is continually annoying, and they are completely unresponsive, defending this indefensible interface decision ... because it's 'streamlined'. The developer who thought this up should be fired.

I was hoping you guys could bring back a previous existing feature, where the "Add to Favorites/ Bookmark" button was located along the toolbar instead of under the "... More" bar. The new location for this feature, "Add to Favorites" is really inconvenient to use.

What took one click before - Add Bookmark - now takes two - click 3-dots, click Add to Favorites. And now you cannot see just by looking at the page if it's bookmarked or not, you have to open the Sidebar (another click), select between All Pages or Bookmarks Only (another click), then perhaps have to scroll to find the current page - which is so small that it's hard to know if the thumbnail is the current page (add ten seconds), and then keep the sidebar open which takes up a quarter of the screen on an ipad.
Who made this decision? The should be fired. They offer no explanation other than it's more "streamlined". It helps no one and hinders many. -

Another plea to PLEASE bring back the bookmark icon SOMEWHERE easily seen. Even just seeing if the page was already bookmarked would be helpful. Something like the visual flag like Kindle or Google Books uses. Iām not fond of the extra clicks to bookmark a page, but not immediately seeing if the page is already bookmarked is ridiculous. PLEASE return this most helpful option ASAP.

this is the only feature that motivated me to use goodnotes. now that it is no longer available, I switched back to the official adobe pdf reader. it is free and I do not have to deal with all these flawed designs.

Seriouslyā¦why do you keep moving the bookmark icon? It needs to be in the main bar.

Bump to all other comments, and also to my puzzlement that the designers did EXACTLY THE SAME THING a few years ago (remove bookmark from toolbar) only to add it back in due to user feedback. But they have seemingly forgot that happened and removed it from the toolbar again. Crazy. Still love the app and company, but please!

Key feature lost. Slows me down significantly. Put the bookmark button back on the toolbar.

+1 to all the comments here. The bookmark icon needs to be in the toolbar.

Once again⦠PLEASE put the bookmark icon on the toolbar. Donāt hide it in a menu. Bookmarking pages should be easy to do and easy to see whether a page is already selected. Bookmarks and outlines are the only ways to easily manage large documents and access certain pages quickly. Or if nothing else, allow it to be customized on the home ribbon so people can have their favorite features front and center. Everyone uses Goodnotes differently. Let US decide the UI that works best for us.

Bring back the bookmark button on the home ribbon like it was before. It is really inconvenient to click the top right dots and then select the bookmark button when bookmarking multiple pages.

You did not fix anything. You were supposed to bring back the favorite button. There is one thing for sure. Fire the new guy you hired.

Please display the bookmark addition button permanently in the top-right corner so it can be accessed immediately from the left tabs.
Please revert to the previous UI.
It's hard to understand why the bookmark UI was hidden and the Tools tab made independent. Now we have to go out of our way to add bookmarks from the left tabs, and then open another tab just to review them. This is extremely inconvenient and frustrating.DeepLć§ēæ»čسćć¾ćć (https://dee.pl/app)

This is one of the worst GUI decisions for Goodnotes developers ever made. And in the left sidebar, combining the Page View and Bookmarks View into a pull-down menu was also a very poor decision. The GUI should place common tasks (add bookmark) to the front, not hide it.
What I would really like is the option to revert to version 6, in the same way that version 5 was available to v.6 users.
I never use the audio features. -

GN7 = Brutal. I add/remove bookmarks all the time while working with large PDFs. Now I have either keep the sidebar open (wasting a ton of screen space) or make multiple clicks. And the bookmarks are no longer visible when scrolling through the document. None of this is any sort of improvement.

Bring the bookmark icon back so itās visible all of the time, and so that you can filter all pages and only see those that are bookmarked. I use a PDF planner on Goodnotes and visible bookmarks and filtering by bookmarks are critical to navigating a PDF planner with hundreds of pages.
