I use Goodnotes on my Mac to teach math and statistics over Zoom, sharing my screen with students. Every time I need to switch pen colors, which happens constantly when highlighting steps or separating parts of a solution, I have to move the cursor across the screen to the toolbar and back. On a shared screen, students' eyes follow that cursor movement, and it breaks their focus right in the middle of an explanation.
This is the only reason I still have to use Notability alongside Goodnotes. If this feature were added, I could switch to Goodnotes completely.
A keyboard shortcut for switching pen colors (or for saved pen presets) would let me change colors instantly without the cursor leaving the work area. That would make a real difference for anyone teaching or presenting live with Goodnotes. Please consider adding it!
Thank you
